Really pleased to see the lad score his goal yesterday. You can tell he really wants to succeed for safc.

I know he has limitations but I hope he can now go on and get double figures, in the rest of the season

Haway the lads
This. Hope it's the first of many. If McGeady and McManaman can create the chances for him, maybe he can do well here? We're going to have to rely on him for the immediate future, so let's get behind him eh?

He's scored goals in this league before, he's not class by any means but he's not jozy altidore

Pointless telling anyone this...

The only season he's spent outside the top two divisions in his career he bagged 24 goals.

Prior to this season he had a similar championship record to the SMB highly rated Nakhi Wells.

He is a Championship level striker. f***ing bored of throwing this info out there

So basically don't ever take notice of a single word that comes out of his mouth then. I agree by the way. It's the reason he has a job here. His actual managerial ability isn't of any importance to Short/Bain
Him or anyone else. Its the way it works. Dont get hung up over press conferences. I guess we were spoilt with Keane. Not many like him. Most are just bland with the media just like Grayson. Doesnt mean he is a bad manager.

I have a funny feeling he's going to surprise a few on here.

He took his goal well and if he gets the service and builds his confidence he can do well in this league.
That was his first goal in 30 championship appearances.

His comments don't. They merely are an indicator of the lengths the club with go to to bullshit the fans. The performances on the pitch are the reflection on him as a manager, and Theblesa said about those the better

That was his first goal in 30 championship appearances.

I hear virtually the same sentence on here about Rodwell every pre season (regarding him surprising us/being a new signing etc etc)

After scoring 24 in 37 and really standing out by all accounts in just the league below he should be a decent championship striker - at least average - and capable of 12 -15 goals.
Yes great point that. Excellent return in the league below. Fingers crossed once he climatises to the championship hopefully he will pick up. Yesterday's goal might help.

That is part of his job yes. Dont take what he says as anything more than media management

We do. But unfortunately thats not how it works in this modern media driven world.
Yeh probably a fair point mate even though I'd rather hear it as it is.

Hopefully that will kick start the goals.
Sounds like he puts in the effort. Like our lad Norris. Got dogs abuse last season but works hard and scoring this season.

He's shite like. Only impressive thing about him is that he's got a 4 to 1 ratio in yellow cards to goals this season. Not many centre forwards will be able to do that.

Pele scored loads of goals once upon a time, doesn't mean he's any good now. That was his first goal in the Championship in 30 appearances. He certainly hasn't looked a Championship level striker any time in the past few years.

He didn't score in the 15/16 season as he was limited to 5 starts, with a further 15 appearances off the bench. 8 of those were for less than 5 mins. He seemingly didn't play a full 90 mins that season.

He then left to join Bury and scored 24 last season in league one. His only season out of the top two divisions.

Let's see where we're at with him at Christmas. He's certainly not a world beater, but he's no where near as shite as you're making out.
