Playing Boro in 'behind closed doors friendly' today

N'Doye putting it over the bar man, useless why he comes on i'll never know. Brucey getting his own back saying he is great and can score lots of goals.

It was nothing more than a training session but the Boro fans are creaming themselves over the result away at their bigger 'neighbours'.

Tin pot club, tin pot ground and tin pot fans.

We might speak to you when you're back in the big league.

There are many Boro fans who aren't bothered about you, but there are also many who see you as a rival.

There are many Sunderland fans who aren't bothered about Boro, but there are Sunderland fans who do see there being some rivalry there.

The rivalry will never be as intense as the rivalry between you and the Mags obliviously, but it is still there to some people.

The fact that the Sunderland Echo described today's game as the Tees-Wear derby proves my point.
If you're going to pull me up on something, at least use the correct *spelling*.

Just relived my youth ... time in England (1981) ... looking at archived First Division results. Villa topped the table with 4 points over Ipswich (wins were only 2 pts then) and the performances of Shaw and Mariner are what I remember most vividly.

And Norwich, Leicester and Palace were relegated.

Boro finished ahead of Sunderland (I didn't support any club in England then), Newcastle wasn't in the top tier, making Boro the best in the Northeast.

Chances are that you'll probably be in the Championship, but as I said earlier, we'll allow you to be our feeder club again.

We've actually got some really promising youngsters coming through, so you can look after them for us, just as you did with Downing all them years back.

What an audacious post.
