Players Are Wankers

He was completely wrong about Cattermole.
He wasn't, at that time, in my view. Cattermole has generally turned himself round, though he still shows the old signs that he is not focused such as against Southampton and Hull) perhaps as a result of his career being on the line under Di Canio.

Only maybe a handful of players have played well enough this season.

I agree, a lot of them are letting us down weekly. They're not trying hard enough and putting the ball in the back of the net enough. They've done fuck all to make life easier for fans and the manager.

But they're off the hook right now because Poyet is the new scapegoat.

Well done lads.

Most of them were signed by Poyet. He is justifiably the scapegoat. Jones, Vergini, PVA, Rodwell, Buckley,
Coates , Bridcutt. All selected regularly by Gus and ALL played on saturday.

That's progress right there

How many of these managers have bought these players?
You keep mouthing on about the players, as if it's one or two players, it's the ingrained culture at the club people are talking about, not individuals, it's been a cushy number for years, probably before you even started going, I've seen it at various times with my own eyes in the past and I have no doubt at all it continues to this day,

Playing 5 at the back with a midfield of Rodwell, Larsson and Bridcutt has nothing to do with the players being wankers and everything to do with the manager being embarrassingly negative.

Players are wankers?

Well, if I'm honest I often hammer the blazing wombat myself but don't think that makes me bad at my job.

The problem with the players is compared to other teams in the PL, we just don't cut the mustard.

Remember, the players that turn up half the time are our best and most consistent and are beyond reproach.

In my view he Definitely was. He was fully fit and not even in the squad. We started with David Vorn in centre midfield. Also you're picking out poor games. Show me a player who hasn't had a poor game.

A new manager comes in and at the start he is in a very strong position. He has the power in the dressing room. Suddenly players who have been under performing start to bust a gut and the results improve overnight. The new bloke is hailed as a hero.

Of course things at some point go wrong - such is life - and the manager isn't quite as firm a favorite.

As time goes on the performance of many players starts to falter and there's not much the manager can really do. He pushes them, then challenges them but they know that he is not in anywhere near as strong a position. By the time he gets round to giving them a public blast to start performing they know he is a dead man walking. That it is just a matter of time because these days the owner, media and fans wont risk wait for any improvment cos the money in the Premier League is so high. And after all he cant get rid of all of them.

He is fired and a new bloke comes in. It starts all over again

Nah doesn't fit this one

We know we don't have the most quality, but some of the tactics at home are outrageous

Way off the mark here mate.

Excuse me?

The talk was of the senior players, ask @The Exile he'll name them for you.

Everyone can see but me, @rocky

This joker blames the same players every time, there are hardly any left

We have signed over 20 f***ing players in the last 1 and a half season

but yet he blames the same 3 or 4.

Belongs in a mental institution this bloke.

He was spot on.

Quinn was happy when everybody was happy, Keane seen through all the old boys club the same as PDC did.

:lol::lol::lol:

If I could put fifty on there I would, if you talked like that at the match or in a pub with fellow SAFC fans you would get laughed off and told to shut the fuck up.

half a dozen senior players left, all of whom play regularly.

Do you fancy skipping the bit where you lose the plot slowly and just jump to putting me on ignore like it's a victory. Otherwise, just fuck off. Ta.

Agree with the OP.

With all the threads on here about Poyet being to blame and it being his responsibility, collectively, 11 players didn't do their job on Saturday and it was individual performances that let us down just as much as Gus's "tactics".

Talent is ten a penny. What makes players quality is application plus talent. Good characters will encourage, cajole and even downright bully application out of talented players. What we need on the pitch is an arse kicker. Not whinging Seb and O'Shea, and not red mist Cattermole. Look at how well Cattermole played when he had Cana alongside him - not a quality player, but a leader of men and no mistake. The best teams practically snarl at each other all game until it's won, the ones less talented than ours do as well if not better because they're motivating each other to use everything they've got.

Cattermole's performance in some games has been really good but in others diabolically poor as I've said. You said Di Canio was 'completely wrong about Cattermole.' Obviously he wasn't as he is not as perfect even now that he has improved as some on here think.

That's the problem with many on here. They put our very average and poor players on undeserving pedestals above their levels of commitment and ability. That's why we are one point off second bottom in the Premiership!

So because he's not perfect and has had a few poor games Di Canio was right?
Is that what you're seriously saying?

I piss myself laughing at every one of your posts, you're thick as mince, now run along sonny.

You think PDC was right, it doesn't get much worse than that, I could say anything in the world, and it wouldn't be worse than that judgement.

Could do with that at 0-0 or 1 and 2-0 down, not when you've just scored. Nobody's brave enough then.

Nah your posts are too amusing. You sounds like you haven't been to a much in about 4 or 5 years. Stewing from your keyboard.
