Player/incident you could never excuse or pardon

Are you trying to say that you shouldn't change a cup team from one round to the next? Most clubs start out with weaker teams and they get stronger as they get through the competition.

Yeah well ok

But i was talking about our Southampton team with no f***ing supporters there in the 5th round

Dont really follow your posts but i will bet you didnt complain about the team selection in the 5th round via Southampton when it was near enough the same?
Ever hear of giving fringe players a chance?

or just dump them as its the 1/4 finals ?[DOUBLEPOST=1394837511][/DOUBLEPOST]

Genuine question mate;

Do you think being in the premier is more important than winning a cup or playing in Europe? - not a loaded question or anything, just genuinely interested in whether you think he played the fringe players because he had thus far, or to save the main players for league duty etc.

For what it is worth, I'd sooner see us win something rather than play in the top league as after 40 years I'm still waiting but have seen us play plenty of games in the second flight and also a season in the third. I firmly believe we'd be back up in a year or two with the parachute payments.

Only thing I could never forgive - getting back to the original question, was the Coventry v Bristol City fiasco in 1977. Had it been a big club, they'd have both gone down, or have had points deducted ensuring at least one of them did. To be found guilty and not punished was beyond a joke.

A few years later Sheffield United were wrongfully relegated because of Carlos Tevez playing for West Ham. Should have had points deducted for every game he played!

To be honest - don't think it was intentional , he is / was just shit
Come close v them at the Sol - hit the bar & looked as though he was busting a gut to score
Yeah that's what I think, he's since trying to pass it off as he missed on purpose just to curry favour with the mags, he's just not a very good forward and has proved that since he left us, we're the biggest club he ever played for and ever will. Scrote of a man.

The Tranmere thing still rankles with me, as does the FA decision to let the result stand.
Yeah same but think it's cause I was there. Same as Chopras. Always feel a bigger sense of injustice when I've spent money to witness it...
