Play Off 1st Leg Ticket Arrangements

Tickets for the 1st leg went on sale to members 7pm to 9pm on the Thursday and Friday before the game from the relevant turnstiles around the ground (eg CS tickets from CS turnstiles, FE tickets from FE turnstiles etc). They would have been on sale at the ticket office first to ST holders a day or two before that.

Play Off 2nd Leg Ticket Arrangements

Tickets for the 2nd leg went on sale to members at 10am on the Saturday before the game from the FE turnstiles. They would have been on sale at the ticket office first to ST holders a day or two before that. This was the season before FE season tickets were available so we would have only had a few thousand MS and CS ST holders then - hence there being enough left for them to go on sale to members.

I arrived at maybe 10.30ish on that Saturday morning and queued for around 30 mins for mine. My assumption at the time was that all remaining tickets for the 2nd leg would have been sold that morning. However, I don't know for certain if that was the case. I suppose it was possible that some remaining tickets were sold on the Monday/Tuesday.

The night tickets was a warm evening can remember getting the ticket for the Fulwell but thinking there wasn't many there, I think they made it that you had to have a loyalty card to get a ticket which p1ssed a few off because you didn't normally need them for the Roker or clock stand,

Absolutely certain, mate.

We couldn't get to the ticket office being from East Durham and at college during the day.

I went up at night and remember it being like a nice summer's day. It was starting to get dark if I remember rightly.

They were selling the tickets from the Clockstand Paddocks turnstyles which thinking about it fuck knows why.

There weren't many buying tickets and when I asked the lass said plenty left.

What hasn't been said is that I don't think they sold out. We got there late on the night so the only space left for us was over to the left of the Leazes. We were right by them and there was easily enough room for another 500.

Bollocks. See my post. I was at college and couldn't get up until night.

There may have been space (segregation or tickets held back by nufc?) but there isn't a cat in hells chance our allocation wouldn't have sold out. There's people on this thread who went in the mags end, why would they have done that if tickets were available in the Leazes away end?

I can remember vividly queuing overnight for a cup semi final ticket in 1992 but I have no idea how I got the ticket for the away play off game. Gold card scheme perhaps?

That's not what I said. I said they didn't sell out, or if they did about 500 mags decided not to go because there was a lot of room in the paddock next to us.

We certainly did sell out as it was chocker, but all the tickets weren't sold in a couple of hours. I went up on a night after college and got ours.

Yep, I think tickets for all parts of the ground for the home leg were only on sale to members. I think I turned up with 4 membership cards to buy 4 CS paddock tickets - despite the fact that for any other game you didn't need to be a member to go in there.

It's not what I think you fuckin' bell end, it's what I know.

I went up on the night, after college, to get our tickets.

The home leg was about 3000 down on the league match earlier that season.
I was in D paddock Milburn stand for the 2nd leg as it was easier to get a ticket from the 03

You numb or what? Read the posts, I didn't say we didn't sell out.

You have nothing to worry about you silly fat ****, for obvious reasons.

But, you are clearly a WUM who must have been smacked all over the way you go on, unless of course you only act the idiot on the internet.

No I am not a wind up, I am merely pointing stuff out.
And you are right, I have nowt to worry about but no one has ever smacked me about at all, let alone some qwerty hero.

I was in the East Stand with the SAFC player's families, we got tickets from Rueben Agboola. Originally it was two in the seats for my dad and little brother (14 at the time) and two in the Leazes End but Mr Agboola didn't want my mate (who knew Rueben) and me in the paddock. Two blokes in the row in front of us threatened my mate after we scored until 'persuaded' by John Kay's two brothers in the row behind to stop being dicks
