.....minute they are fit and want to play. Also use Wellbeck behind them....

4-3-1-2 system....No doubt!

That's a combination that will never work, anybody with a hole in their arse can see that. They're both goal poachers and unless we can improve the quality of our providers we'll have a problem.

They haven't really played up front together though.

I think we've got to play the same side that stuffed Chelsea.

If Bent is 100% fit, I cannot see him on the bench.

I can. I very much doubt Bruce will change the side that played against Chelsea.

If we can keep a £13m player on the bench then why not a £10m player?

If Bent is fit he plays. Keeping a winning side against Newcastle didn't go too well did it?

I cant believe the amount of people saying Bent should not come back into the team over Welbeck who has had 1 good game for us so far.

I would say 3 games
stoke, man city 2nd half, spurs 2nd half, chelsea

Although based on the last result i dont think you can drop anyone(although i hate rico so )

Its completely different though really...

Firstly, the amount of money we've paid means nowt really... Bent is worth alot more than 10mil anyway.

Gyan was on the bench because we wanted to ease him in, and the formation we'd been using (451) had been working and we didnt want to change that system.

This time, we know Bent will score goals and we saw that the system we played against Chelsea works. Its alot easier to bring a known and proven goalscorer back into a team in place of a 19 year old loanee when it'd mean we dont have to change formation. IMO anyway.

Welbeck was man of the match against Chelsea in our most impressive win for years. You remove all incentive for players if you treat them with such contempt. Bent will be back soon but he should not start against Everton at Welbeck's expense.

everyone is beating chelsea at the minute though their hardly playing well are they? bent and gyan should start upfront all the time as long as they are fit - defenses will be more scared of those 2 than bent and welbeck or gyan and welbeck. everyone knows what bent can do and we can see gyan has the pace, can bring players in and poach goals himself. they are never gonna build a partnership unless they are given a chance. welbeck he is only on loan remember he doesnt need to cement a permanent starting place in your squad hes getting experience to go back to united should be greatful for what he gets!! also not forgetting frazier campbell who is better than welbeck can play the back up role when he is fit.

Completely agree - its not a case of Bent Out and Welbeck in for ever, its more after your best result in probably 5 plus years you dont drop anyone, let alone the man of the match for fucks sake

At the very least play the same for 45 minutes, they deserve it, if its not working at half time, change it.

I agree. I think Bent would probably agree too. Start the same team as the one against Chelsea and bring Bent on for either Welbeck or Gyan late on for the late goal.

why the hell would bent agree that someone who filled in whilst he was injured and had ONE good game should start over him who has performed consistantly for well over a season? this is the same welbeck that was so clueless he couldnt even look up to bring bent into play and put his side up 1 - 0 against newcastle isnt it? short memories. and once again he is on loan not a vital member of your squad!!

first point: They haven't played together enough? Err... the only way to fix that dilemma is to... play them together.

second point: we'll never learn, will we? An unchanged team vs Newcastle worked wonders. We should ALWAYS select the best team available.

gerrin. Written off already eh? Didn't take f***ing long.

Because Bent seems to want what's good for the team and would most likely understand Bruce making such a decision.

And calm yourself. It's just a discussion.

i am calm.
whats best for the squad is your 24 goal a season striker who doesnt suddenly get crap because he injured his hamstring not someone who is using your team as an opportunity to gain experience who has had 1 good game in that period of time. he had a great game, pat him on the back and say well done. you dont drop someone who has been basically carrying the team because they hurt themselves, this isnt football manager2011. lauder is the only one speaking sense.

If Darren Bent is fit, Darren Bent should play. He is a top class centre forward and we have a better chance of winning with him in the team than without him. Welbeck's a promising youngster, and he played very well against Chelsea, but he's not in Dazzler's league.
