Plastering help

Need some advice lads, just bought a house and needed some rooms plastered, anyway me lasses cousin done it yesterday ex plasterer and it’s absolutely woeful job, there’s no way I’m stripping the walls again of plaster so can I plaster over it or just skim it?

Depends how woeful, if it’s just pitted in places then I’d get it skimmed / filled.

If walls aren’t straight, returns and edges are goosed then you might need to go back to brick.

I’d make your lass pay for it.

Why not just get him back in to do it properly ??

FYI, @Barboza dh9 is a plasterer and will be round to give you a quote tomorrow.

I've never used a plasterer who's work I've been happy with. Tried yet another one recently, and massively disappointed again. Sanding block and filler out yet again.

It's a dark art. Had my kitchen done years ago and was lovely. Including the ceiling.
