plantar fasciitis

Really painful condition, had it for about six months about ten years ago and tried everything initially to releive it until they eventually found out I had one leg 20cm longer than the other. The NHS made me innersoles to correct the problem and within weeks I was back to normal.

Stop eating eggs.

Have said this on here before. I suffered with PF and Achilles’ tendon problems for a couple of years after having been very fit my entire adult life.

I’d slowed down and put on weight. Not massive but probably 2 stone over my normal weight and eating drinking whatever I wanted.

Get a food allergy test done. Eggs and red meat are an absolute trigger for me with my Achilles, I was in agony and at times couldn’t walk without a boot and crutches. I had seen specialists in UK, Croatia and Spain about it, MRI and ultrasound just showed up a whole load of blood that would be around my Achilles whenever I’d have a flare up but nobody able to really tell me what the trigger was. It was finally sorted after seeing a lady in Italy and she immediately ordered a food allergy test that told me what my body was reacting to. Not had a flare up since and regularly running and exercising again. That was unthinkable for 2 years.

For your plantar, stretch daily your calfs, hamstrings and toes. Plenty of advice available online.

Lose weight if you are overweight, this makes a massive difference. Your feet won’t thank you for any additional load you may be carrying. I was only at my maximum 14.5 stone where my regular weight would be 12.5-13 stone.

Surprised you hadn't noticed that before - 8 inches?!? Love to see pics of your shoes!

its horrible. Got it while preparing for the 2019 GNR and decided to try and run through it for about 4 months. Got so bad I had to pack in running 2 years ago and piled the beef on. 2 corisones injections got it under control in the end, but as soon as I run the pain comes back

Suffer from it myself, its a nuisance when out walking. Have to take couple of Ibruprofen every couple of hours and rub some Ibruprofen gel into my heel, it does the trick though.
Might also be a heel spur if it's just in the heel ?
Think this is what I suffer from. Plantar Fascitis is more area between toes and heel
