Not compared to the 100% for the specialist insolvency firms who seem to do most of the smaller jobs (see the firm that did the Bolton job). I did a little bit in insolvency departments, albeit a while ago, and the first consideration if approached is if there will be enough in the assets to make sure your time costs are got back. The charge out rates the big boys use, it's only the very largest and most complex cases that are worthwhile. On smaller jobs, it was often more a case of getting proxies for the creditors meeting to make sure a cowboy didn't get appointed if it looked like there might be some return for unsecured creditors - the big boys could then vote out the directors' preferred choice and make sure someone competent/straight got the job.
