A few of my Pompey mates have already given up the ghost now we're above them. Reckon they're fighting for the other automatic promotion spot. They reckon it's a mix of resources and astute management that'll get us up. I must admit I didn't have a clue about the players we signed over the last few weeks, but they've seen them for the last 4 years and reckon we've got some decent ones.

I was comparing games with Safc, Barnsley and Portsmouth.

I said there is only one line of form to compare

Safc 3-0 Scunthorpe, Scunthorpe 2-2 Barnsley. No mention of Fleetwood

I then gave a breakdown of what I hope will happen

Also these other teams have had their full strength teams out.

Safc have not. I then said bearing all this in mind, we look a good bet as it stands

Nowt wrong with this is there?

Agree to disagree mate, I don’t believe you can use one teams result against another to gauge where we are in relation to them.

I will agree I think we’ll go up though which, in all fairness, is all that matters.

i don't think their is much to worry about in this division, to be honest, if you look back at the teams who have won this division, in recent seasons, we certainly shouldn't be worried at all, given the size of the club and resources we have at our command.

It's been a monumental rejig. We don't know how it'll go.

I'm optimistic.

i am normally the one who says lets not count our chickens but, below are three previous seasons teams who got promoted back to the championship, and if a club like wigan can do it twice, we only need to do it once, and then onward.

2015–16 Wigan Athletic Burton Albion Barnsley (6th)
2016-17 Sheffield United Bolton Wanderers Millwall (6th)
2017-18 Wigan Athletic Blackburn Rovers Rotherham United (4th)
