Pissing it

This. I was chatting to some Exeter fans on the train back to Bristol, and they were wondering what the reaction will be when we have an inevitable stumble. We will; it's just not possible there won't be a glitch or two in a 46 game season. Funnily enough, they were more questioning about how we would react as fans to a bad run, which I thought was actually pretty perceptive. It's a valid question.
On the plus side. We have gone behind 3 times this season, and won the game. For years if we went behind, that meant game over (For a win at least)
Always a good sign, and we lost to Wednesday in the cup, and Ross spoke about the players actingthe same the next day in training. It's gonna be a tough season.A slog all the way through, and you're right, we will have blips. I will judge the fans response by how they are at games, and attendences, rather than kneejerk reations by some posters on here. It's a good point raised though. With our injuries, i hoped we were somewhere in the mix by the time they all come back. 2nd is beyond what i hoped for if i'm honest, so my tail is up at the minute

The answer can be found in the match thread when we were a goal down

I've deliberately not looked at that. Anyway, it's the reactions of the fans at the grounds which is the important one; it sounds harsh, but the comments are a match thread are irrelevant. When I have looked at threads for matches I've been at, the difference between what I can actually see and the thread comments is unbelievable, probably because, with a stream, you can only see what the director chooses to let you see. It's the difference between looking a something through a zoom lens and a wide focus one.

By 10pm you will have us winning the Champions League in a few seasons mate

Done it a few times

Actually the only thing we will win before I die will possibly be the FA cup. Its quite sad that money has fucked the game up to a degree that only 6 clubs can win anything (Leicester was a blip)

The key difference is if I'm at the match I'll grumble quietly to my mate or too myself then join in the next song/chant. Everything on the match thread is the same volume.

Agree with you entirely about being at a game etc but had in mind the mood swings that took place on the thread, it was incredible

I'd take a win if Maja punched a cross into the roof of the net
Just Maja?

The match thread is made up more of posts about negative posts than actual negative posts.

Fans at the match are more bothered about the match rather than other supporters. Some posters on the match thread seem more bothered a couple of negative posts than the match.

Plenty of character in the squad and JR clearly knows how to get performances out of the lads. Keep battling and the never say die attitude will see us through to at least the playoff's imo.

Absolutely this. Even last season, when we were absolute chod, the criticism was usually aimed at the ref or one of the opposition, with just the occasional groan thrown in. The support via chanting rarely crumbled away to nothing though, and at the slightest hint of an attack the fans usually roared them on.
