Was the a very important knock, with some great strokes and he showed great character in getting there.
However, as was mentioned in commentary, he never looked ‘in’ until he got to around the 80 mark, and had a few near misses (i know you often need a little luck when you score that many). Once he got to that stage he then looked in the groove, opened up and showed why he is regarded so highly.
Was it his best innings? Not for me. (I'd opt for the innings in the 5-0 hammering in Australia, where Warne had to resort to negative bowling down the leg side at him).
T’was certainly his best double hundred though (i was there for his first)
