Far to soon for me to decide weather I like him or not.did well for a young lad making a first appearance.a long long way front the end product.

Was always going to need patience, therefore no one can conclude anything after one day.

This is especially true of our gaffers, who will probably now decide to throw him back out on loan, he will then leave in the summer when we go down, and be a star turn for another PL club.

He's been less than average today. Most of his saves have been straight at him. Parried and punched too much. Been saved on the goal line behind him having missed two routine saves.

He's done alright for a youngster. Tough game to debut, poor defending for his conceded goals but he's not nearly as good as we hoped.
Shut the fuck up you berk

I agree with all of that. However he does not look as great as people claim... Is my only point.

Goals aside (not his fault), his first half performance was quite poor. Too much parry and punchcard when you'd expect a keeper, a good one, an England U21 to stop and gather. I'm perfectly happy to put his first half down to nerves and I don't think he's shyte, but he was almost at fault for two simple goals concede in the first 50 mins when I first posted and was only saved from his errors by two goal line clearances.

I think of Given when he came on loan. Yes Pickford is against tougher opposition, but looking at him and his choices and I would say he's some way behind Given at his age.

Happy for him, decent performance. Not great. Nothing to suggest he will be. Decent. Well done though, tough debut.
First of all, that was one game and Jordan was generally steady making a few decent saves. He wasn't at fault for any of those goals and Mannone/Pantilimon would have played no better. Yes he made one dodgy kick but that aside his kicking was abnormally accurate and a breath of fresh air. I appreciate you don't like keepers punching but modern players do that these days.

While you are on the subject of Shay Given, he also had a few average games for us too.

Give the lad a break man. Support him and he will come good. Jordan isn't England under 21 keeper for nothing.

Three dodgy moments:

1. Bad kick first half

2. Parry from Walcott's shot

3. Punch of the free kick second half.

Otherwise he was excellent. The lad looks to have a bright future, hopefully with us.

Did very well, has a very bright future ahead of him. Always nice to see a local lad make his debut

only time seen him before was ion tour games where he was dreadful

From what I have seen of him hes got a very bright future. Hopefully we can put a decent defence in front of him and protect him so he can fulfil the potential he has. Distribution seemed to be different class at times today, pinging 60 yard passes to the feet of our players over the half way line is unheard of lately.
