He's definitely playing against Arsenal by all accounts
After being a bit gutted knowing that we'll field a weakened side against them...I'm now actually quite looking forward to seeing a few of them being given a chance, some enthusiasm and no fear might actually make us entertaining to watch. The first team would get caned anyway.

Good luck Jordan, you're going to get enough shot stopping practice over these next few months.

Again, had experience and his stupidly highly rated at the club. Wouldn't surprise me that he will go straight in and get a chance, maybe Arsenal cup game as he is not allowed to play against villa. One of Mannone or Pants will go. Pickford will have to take his chance.

Preston fans are wounded that he has been recalled.

Neither of them are great. Outstanding save by Mannone onto the post last night though.
As good a save as you will see all season. Finger tipped onto post. Most keepers are excellent shot stoppers.... its the other areas that seperate the top class from the average

Is that a way of saying 'very' or suggesting they rate him too highly for his ability?

They should be in for Pants then, nobody in the PL is going to want him as there first choice but he would be brilliant at that level.

Looks the likely scenario although I'd definitely have Mannone as first choice initially. He had a fine game last night and was a decent keeper for us in his first season.
Last night was the first match in ages I can remember watching Mannone & not thinking "well that was shit" after he conceded a goal. He's been poor since May '13.

Same, hopefully the likes of Gooch and Beadling will get a chance as well

fair play to him. went out on loan, took his chance, impressed, and is seeing the chance at the first team football as a result. wish a few more of our young lads could go out and do the same on loan down the lower leagues
