17 year old midfielder starts for Manchester City in the champions league tonight!
Won the U17 World Cup with England and was player of the tournament.

Interesting to see how he does! Very highly rated
There's no chance Foden goes to Leeds or anywhere else.

The next Jack Wilshere

I know he was playing for the bairns, but he really does have it all.

Instant first touch
Always seems to have time on the ball
Can dribble
Can score with both feet
Can play a killer pass

Last kid I saw that stood out so much was Kieron Dyer.

His touch is absolutely superb. Hopefully he gets plenty minutes this season and keeps progressing at City, he’s only 18!

probably the one type of young player that the england squad was missing this year. he'll be 22 next time round. its coming h... ah fuck it

There are a load of really promising young English kids at 17, 18, 19 at the moment, as our success in age group tournaments shows.

The academies are starting to bear fruit.

The challenge is turning these young kids into established experienced players.

If the get to 22, 23 and have had the odd loan spell, a few League Cup starts and 20 minutes off the bench now and then, then it's highly unlikely they'll become really world class, whatever their potential was.

Once they get to that age they need to already be first team players somewhere with a lot of starts under their belts.

There does seem to be an element of their being more money and prestige being a Chelsea or Man City backup player with the odd loan spell, than giving that up and going to sign for Burnley or Birmingham.

I think that might be starting to change though as these young kids realise they need to play - let's hope so.

Foden is young enough that it's not an issue for him at the moment, but he needs to be looking at being a regular starter in the next couple of seasons, if not at City then elsewhere.

For the next world cup hopefully we'll have Sancho, Hudson Odoi, Foden, Mount and Mumba;), plus a few more in the squad. If they all come through it could be brilliant to watch.
