What would you do if you owned a company and the only way you could win a big contract was to give someone a back hander
As it happens I tend to run a company in one of the most corrupt coutries in the world. "Normal " business here revolves around the kickback....and no, I'd rather lose contracts than be party to the filth that ruins most countries once it's set in and in fact I get better quality because of the fact people know I don't do dirty deals...it's a disease that eventually ruins the economy, businesses and the pride and INTEGRITY of the people.
The start of the end.
Left to me , anyone who takes or offers a bung deserves long term jail!

Hope I didn't get caught like BAE etc. for breaking the law.

However, if I was trying to win a contract legally without corruption I'd be happy to see others exposed, wouldn't you?

If there is corruption in FIFA (which there is) then it should be highlighted. It is pathetic to think that England might not be able to host a world cup because its press highlighted corruption. The FIFA officials are on camera saying they would accept a bribe regarding their world cup vote, FIFA should be furious with the officials and doing everything it can to clean up its image (hard when the whole f***ing lot of them are crooks i suppose) instead of moaning about a programme that will highlight corruption.

We have a free press and I am proud of that. If they have a newsworthy story, like FIFA being riddled with corruption, then it is their right to print/ broadcast it and they shouldnt allow FIFA, or any external pressure, to affect either the content of the programme or when it is aired

As I have said before, if FIFA dont like a free press reporting on corruption then they can kick all the potential hosts out of the pot and just give the f***ing tournament to Zimbabwe in 2018 and North Korea 2022

Of course its in their right. Thats why i wont sign any petition. They should be allowed to broadcast it.

But to broadcast it one week before the vote is an absolute wankers trick. Like i said they have had years to expose FIFA but have chosen now for their own benefit - no fucker elses.

I suppose you have a fair point there like- although I presume the BBC's argument would be that the programme is in the public interest and hence they want to broadcast it when they can get the highest number of viewers. In the lead up to the vote, they will have coverage on the news etc, and it will be in the papers, so a programme around this time will probably attract more attention than one held, say, back in January (especially as they will be able to link to it in the BBC news programme). If they can get more people to watch, they can make more people aware of the issue, which is presumably their aim.

We'll have to see what they show in the programme. It could be a load of shite, it wouldn't be the first time.

What will it achieve though, yes the beeb can holds there heads up high and say we have exposed these cheats but in the long run the only thing it will change is that England would have no chance of ever holding the world cup.

Of course its not right what the FIFA officals are up to but why couldnt the media wait till after we won it(if we did) to go about exposing them

Me neither, couldn't give a shiny shite about England either.

It will achieve the aim of educating as many people as possible about the corruption that goes on within FIFA. Maybe things wont change, but that is no reason not to broadcast them, and I wouldnt want the BBC to give into what are effectively threats from FIFA (this programme might affect Englands bid etc) by either cancelling the programme, or coming up with another date to show it. FIFA are f***ing pathetic- these arent rumours of corruption, there is a video where 2 of their officials are caught admitting that they can be bribed, which is a f***ing disgrace (a disgrace, although not a surprise since we all know it happens in FIFA). They should do something about it, rather than bitch and moan that its going to be on television. If they dont want programmes about corruption in FIFA being on TV then stop being corrupt you set of cunts, not that arseholes like Jack f***ing Warner could ever manage that

Dosen't bother me too much either. Its always a good away trip when its abroad anyway.

I can't stand Blatter, Warner and all them tossers but its the timing of the BBC that i find annoying.

Could be a shit programme anyway.

I must admit, if we lose out and have to go to Spain/ Portugal I wont be too devestated ;)

Although no doubt nowt will come of it, havent they been suspended

i think 6 officials were suspended for between one and four years, but accepting bribes should be instant dismissal, not just a few years ban for a few who get caught. There needs to be a root and branch investigation into FIFA but any internal investigation would be pointless since the corruption seems to start at the very top and filter down

Germany will take some beating but i reckon Spain and Portugal would be pretty good. :)

It'd be class like, piss ups in the sun are always enjoyed
