People who walk their dog the same route all the time?

Especially those with a car. For about the last five years a lass has stuck to the same route, she always parks her car in the same spot and walks the same route every time, I know dogs can't think but if they could I guess the thought would be not this route again fds.

I do a regular loop round the woods and field out the back of mine. The dog doesn't object. He just likes being out with me.

Don’t think the dogs will be bothered either way. Mine are happy to be out anywhere.
It‘s me that gets bored shitless doing the same walk every time.

If I let the dog choose the route when we leave she'll always choose the same one, boring for me but she seems to like it. Suspect there's a territorial element to it.

Your looking at it from a human point of view. For a dog the interest will mostly be in the smells. Who's been here? what smell is heightened by the rain shower we had last night. I need to mark that so they know this is my territory etc. Every day's a new adventure to a dog but they do like routine too so those that do do the same route are not doing them any dis-service..

We let our dog decide. We hand her the car keys and leave her to it, as long as she’s home for tea time.

My dogs diabetic. He needs the same walks every day. Before his diabetes we'd walk him all over, down the beach for a swim but he's restricted to the same streets everyday. He still loves it. Dogs just love a walk no matter where you take them
