got that the wrong way round, love. You cannit be supporting the team if your walking back over the bridge and the team are still playing.
cracking post.
No it wasn't a cracking post at all

Oops - the "real" fans are out tonight. They dont read the posts, dont understand that people have different opinions and cant cope with a discussioin if someone dares to disagree. Still, as long as you go to every game make a lot of noise (and, most importantly) post that info on here, we'll be ok.
your spelling is worrying tonight.
are customers.
People who stay to the final whistle are genuine supporters.
As an exile, I was watching on Sky tonight, but I've been to hundreds of matches in my time and I haven't missed a minute of any of them.
Last few minutes tonight, 2:2, the game balanced on a knife edge, and in the full glare of national TV we had people streaming towards the exits.
If you were one of them, you have no right to demand 100% from the players if you can't be arsed to give it in return.
Those who stayed to the end, fair dues, you sounded great.
OP, you werent there yourself, exile or not. So your not a supporter, not even a 'customer', what are you then?
I get out of my seat before the final whistle and make my way slowly down from the back of the stand to gather round the exits (still watching the match) for a quick getaway. Loads do it, just because im not in my seat doesnt mean im not a supporting the team.
Fuck off.

Its amazing that that this fatuous argument is still going on. People can chose when they leave. If someone stays to the end and boos the teams performance are they a "supporter"? And someone who leaves early for whatever reason they may have is not? Trying to force your views on others is fascism.
You are the last in a long, tedious line of people who think they are some sort of arbiter of true SAFC fans.
You aren't.
And its time you realised it and stopped boring the rest of us to death.
are weird

I agree with you, but maybe us lot who can't get to games so often want to make the most of every single minute of the game. Where as the locals and localish are a bit more blasé?tidied
pay through the nose for a ticket yet leave ten minutes early
not only does it look shit but it also spoils things for everyone sat trying to watch the game.
happens on saturday games as well , we are on of the worst sets of fans for doing this, which is odd because i dont see what the rush to get home is for ? watch x factor u sad bassas?
mental

What about people who stay for every second of it but dont open their mouths ? Where does the OP stand with these people?

I've learnt my lesson on that one! Never get a seat that can be obstructed. People I watch football with down here actually comment on the "supporters" at The Sol leaving ealy. It isn't as if Sunderland is some great metropolis.its been the same for years, i just cannot fathom it at all
WHAT IS THE RUSH TO GET HOME ? i think people just do it out of habit rather than anything else, gotta get back to the pub for a pint or back home to xfactor who knows.
its teh people in the front rows of either tier i feel sorry for , with thousands milling around in front of them taking a slow walk out the ground, not to mention those sitting near the aisles who basically have no choice but to stand or miss the last ten mins of the game
