People testing your pain threshold........🤢

Getting an injection in the bottom of my foot was excruciating, but only lasted a few seconds. Must have landed right on a nerve. Told the woman I was fine with needles then proceeded to say ā€œAh-ya fuckā€ while gripping the chair.

Broken bones, had shingles, etc, nowt was more painful than that.

What sedation do they do these days ? The gas I had as a kid was part of my fear tbh

I had a tooth out last year at a private dentist. To numb it, it felt like he just scratched along my gum with a needle. A few minutes later my mouth and tongue were completely numb, no feeling at all.

The little scratch hurt more than him pulling out my tooth. It was amazing.
There might have been a little blue gel involved. Can't really remember. Totally pain-free experience though, the actual pulling of the tooth. "Done." "What? Already?"

My youngest son put me through the pain barrier by taking.me and the Mrs up to Vegas for the past 3 nights. Still suffering having to pay $42 for 2 tins of beer and a bacardi/coke. Back in a cowboy town just outside phoenix with a decent liquor store bought bottle of tequila to numb the pain.

Had two teeth out when I was a kid due to overcrowding. Dentist was not the usual one, and he must have put the injection in the wrong spot, as it didn't have any affect. Was making some fairly obvious indications that I could feel everything but he just went ahead. Can still remember it now.

When I was five I had meningitis, and had to have a spinal tap. My mam and dad said it was one of the worst things ever as it hurt me so much - but I can remember everything up to that moment in really vivid detail, the room, the prep...but then the actual tap itself is completely blanked from my memory. Probably a good thing, tbh.

Where were you drinking??
Was in Vegas not that long ago, and the "trendy" bar in the casino was about $8 a beer. $25 for a rum and coke sounds a bit much. (plus tip ofc)

Some young female dentist thought it was funny to try to fill one of my wisdom teeth when it wasn't numb.
Happened a few times to me, I have a fear of dentists, mainly as I've work in some remote places where dentist are not the best or some i fear were self taught, with basic tools. Has a root canal in Mindanao/Philippines, it got very medieval

It's provable that a kick in the knackers for a bloke is more painful than giving birth for a woman. You hear women saying they'd love another child all the time but you never hear a bloke saying he'd love another kick in the bollocks.
