People hating people they work with

I never really hated anyone I worked with, although some of them grated on me.

The Worst being an arse licker who kept bringing in presents for the boss but the work she did kept f***ing up so it had to be done again (usually by me ) but boss wouldn't say anything because "she brought me a dinner in. So I don't want to say anything" same person constantly called in sick, the last time I got shouted at because she was ill, work that out:lol:

Also a lazy bastard who never did anything, but she was a canny lass and we got on well out of work so I couldn't hate her.

My boss had her moments she was Jekyll and Hyde, u never knew what mood she was in, and after the gobfull I got when someone else called in sick I decided I'd had enough and found another job. I didn't hate her until the other day where she asked me to do her a favour, and she's took the piss. And that's the exact reason I hates working for her, as could never do anything right and now I'm out of there she's still trying to do it! Blocked her now like, no more affecting my mental health

I like most of the people I work with to be honest. There's one lad who is generally canny but he can be slippery twat when stressed and he'll hoy you under the bus if you don't keep a beady eye on him. And there's a young lass who gets right on my tits due to an astonishing sense of entitlement and self-regard.

Most of the rest of them are decent sorts who help to keep me sane, day-to-day.

Working with decent folk makes a massive difference to my job satisfaction TBH.

Seems like most people on here absolutely despise the people they work with. Or at least struggle to tolerate them.

Am I lucky that I’ve largley enjoyed the company of the people I’ve worked with, bar the odd one or two?

Are the people whingeing about people they work with just difficult bastards themselves?
You might just be an ordinary bloke who tends to get on with most cos its easier and more fun to do so?

There’s a few people at work I wouldn’t want to be mates with; poser types, snidey fuckers etc but I don’t hate anyone.

I get on well with my immediate colleagues and bosses.

Some people here are duffing the Xmas part cos they don’t like certain people, or not drinking in case they say something they regret. I’m busting their balls about it on a daily basis. Get over yourselves man.
I think attendance should be compulsory for team building.

My bosses are class.
The lad opposite me is a legend. There's 3 other lads are great too. The rest are arseholes though. A loudmouth feminist vegan bell end, a 47 year old lazy twat and a director who has no f***ing clue what he's doing.
Speaking as a 40 something lazy twat, I f***ing love that it winds people up. Hey look - I can piss about all day and get away with it while you feel compelled to actually work :lol:

It's always something that has surprised me too on here - the amount of people who seemingly cannot get along with anyone they work with.

Years ago when I worked up Doxy there were plenty of people I hated but more who I liked and would happily go for a drink with. In fact we did quite regularly. More lately when I've been working in IT I've rarely disliked any colleague and most people have been sound. Current place is fine. One annoying bint but mostly fine. My last place I've made friends for life. Great bunch of fellas and we'd always be out for beers, lunch or sporting events etc. Still talk to them every other day despite being on the other side of the world.

But then I'd class meself as someone who can get on with anyone. I'm pretty tolerant.

Come and work with me, I don’t hate anyone but have to alter my tolerance levels on a daily basis.

I'm a cracking boss, imo of course and I only keep on lads who are spot on.
Turn up, be on time, be honest and have a laugh with the rest of the lads is all I look for. When a kid starts and turns out to be an "oddball" I just let them go once times up, that's if that kind of kid can handle the crack with my other lads in the workplace like.

The best parts of any job I've had has usually been the people I've worked with. Generally get on with most and sometimes hate one or two of the pricks.

We run a happy ship ,anyone who is a miserable lazy bastard doesn’t last 5mins .I can excuse people not being the best Joiner etc in the world as I’ll find them a task they can carry out,but a bad attitude is unforgivable .

I like everyone who’s with us a great deal .

Same setup as my place, you spend a lot of time with the people you work with so it makes sense to find good lads and have the best time you can while grafting.
The one major rule work wise at my place is if you make a fuck up to tell me before a car gets sent back to the customer, you botch a job and don't fess up and it's likely to be curtains, accidents happen working on motors as long as the car goes out right nowts a matter.

After I left the PO they thowt that much of me they made me a honorary life member of their social club so that I could run it for them. Still do it now.

I think the whole thing of work mixing with socialising has gone nowadays. In Portsmouth we had the gas club, the leccy board club, the transport club, hospital club, co-op club, prison club, police club, civil service club, post office club. We're the only one will still going now. All the others relied on the employer for their premises and didn't go fully independent. As soon as they were privatised or were closed they went down the swanny.

Growing up in Sunderland I can remember the PTE club, Coles club, Pyrex club, Vaux club. Coles Cranes and Vaux sports grounds was practically a professional set-up. Providing socialising facilities for your employees is no longer considered a high priority and I think the world is a poorer place for it. imho of course.
I worked at the Leccy board and it was the best job I've had until it was privatised, you left the depot first thing then would go to one of numerous local cafes'often full of gas board lads,GPO and council workers for a bit of craic and camraderie then go and get the jobs done and help the local economy out also.It was slowly going downhill when I left mid 90's and you felt as if you were being watched all the time, saw one of the lads who is still there a few weeks ago and he said it is all home based with no depot and the only interaction with co workers is at a monthly meeting which turns into a rant as all the lads are fed up .
