You can come round mine if you want and we can be class together.Well fuck off then
I wasn’t pointing fingers. Just if someone works with a group of people and can’t spot the nob head, then it’s themThat’s the odd one or two I mentioned.
I'm off out for a Xmas Party tomorrow with friends I worked with nearly fifteen years ago. Place closed down nine or ten years back but we're still good mates.Loved me days of being a postman working at Portsmouth Mail Centre. Met some top lads who even 15 years later are still very good mates. Be off out with loads of them on Sunday afternoon and Christmas eve.
I like the place I work now, some lovely people there. I hate the kiss arse little empire builders though. Shitting on people to score brownie points with the boss.
Beats walking the streets
Aye a lot to be said for a happy ship in the trades, as it never ends well when there is bother between trades lads. Not the slowest in putting people that are dicks in their placeWe run a happy ship ,anyone who is a miserable lazy bastard doesn’t last 5mins .I can excuse people not being the best Joiner etc in the world as I’ll find them a task they can carry out,but a bad attitude is unforgivable .
I like everyone who’s with us a great deal .

I'm not best mates with anyone I work with but I get on with the majority of people I work with and have huge respect for my team leader and me floor manager. I only started working at my new place in April and already have had a promotion.
Tried to be subtle likeBasically how it is with where I work. If you struggle with something initially but admit it you’ll be helped along. If you don’t speak up or have a bad attitude you might have a problem.
Well done for slipping in a look at me post. I like it

Last place I worked, I'm good mates with one of the lads but he was originally in the first group I mentioned. I meet a couple of the lasses for lunch once a month and keep in touch with one of the other lads but apart from the odd interaction on Twitter, I have nowt to do with most of the others. Some decent people but not enough for me to keep in touch.
Yeah I’d much rather have a happy one handed one eyed joiner fitting wonky shelves in my house than have a grumpy talented chippieWe run a happy ship ,anyone who is a miserable lazy bastard doesn’t last 5mins .I can excuse people not being the best Joiner etc in the world as I’ll find them a task they can carry out,but a bad attitude is unforgivable .

After I left the PO they thowt that much of me they made me a honorary life member of their social club so that I could run it for them. Still do it now.
I think the whole thing of work mixing with socialising has gone nowadays. In Portsmouth we had the gas club, the leccy board club, the transport club, hospital club, co-op club, prison club, police club, civil service club, post office club. We're the only one will still going now. All the others relied on the employer for their premises and didn't go fully independent. As soon as they were privatised or were closed they went down the swanny.
Growing up in Sunderland I can remember the PTE club, Coles club, Pyrex club, Vaux club. Coles Cranes and Vaux sports grounds was practically a professional set-up. Providing socialising facilities for your employees is no longer considered a high priority and I think the world is a poorer place for it. imho of course.
