Pek.


Used to love Pek and tomato sarnies. Not had in decades now, nobody else in the house would eat it. Was the only one of those tinned ham or Spam things I liked.
 
White pre-packed bread like Sunblest and thick slices of Pek with loads of jelly oozing out when you bite into them, were some of the sarnies of my childhood. The perfect combination of dry dull bread and greasy filling. Lunch times were awful at times when I was a bairn.
 
20 years living with a lass from up your neck of the woods i'd never heard of the stuff till then. Her dad has it every saturday with mash and beans covered in brown sauce.

Love it though, slice all the outside off with the jelly for the best sarnie
 
When it was my mates turn for the away day bait his gran used to put it up for us and it was always pek white bread load a lurpak and bit a ketchup coukd nivva gan wrang with it mind, hadnt had it for years yet me mam made me one over Xmas and It was lovely, nee idea what it is tbh
