Same lads that saw us to where we are today eventually by performance and shipping out when they could leaving behind those who couldn't

Not true really, the turnaround in players from then to relegation was massive. We pissed up recruitment time and time again, you can also hardly blame the players who did leave for our eventual relegation ffs :lol:

those lads went ot wmbley under a different manager....

He also froze out two of the main members of that squad to the point he put other clubs off signing them, whilst also effecting his own budget by doing so. Later in the season under Poyet both players were courted by other clubs but stayed and played a major part in getting to Wembley/staying up.

His 'management' wasn't sustainable at any level of football or any workplace.

Such a visionary that he's remained to be out of a managers job ever since.

So the problem is that he celebrated with the fans after the players left the pitch? I think you're being a little over sensitive to be honest.
No just giving an opinion. He is and always will be all about himself.

Hero. I thought he deserved more time here. I'd have preferred it had the board backed Di Canio, their appointment, instead of the players.
I guess it depends on what was actually going on. If he was being completely unreasonable and unfair then it was the right decision. It will be interesting to get his version of it at this talk.

Be a good talk in regardless

It's a been a while since I've seen Sunderland fans in crash helmets swinging belts around like half an hour after doing fascist salutes on the terraces.

I've said loads of times I'm not keen on the left but there's just something really distasteful about that fascist shite they do at Lazio.

I don't think he has much in common with us at all, apart from being a football fan.

And, I'm not sure if you're aware but having been to Rome and the regions around it, and spoken to people, Roma is the team the people of the city follow; Lazio is the team for the people of the surrounding areas - the region Rome is in is called Lazio (so I suppose Lazio is the county name). And, they tend to be more affluent because of it. So, there's a chance Di Canio isn't even Roman nor working class - but I don't know, and don't care enough to google it.

Lazio is the outskirts, not meaning better off , just different location , in his book he was part of the ultras who travelled around following lazio so in that respect he relates to the terraces and the passion

He is scum

He did a interview on front and back of Sun 3 days for the cup final trying to disrupt out preparations, the same paper the club defending him from over the fascist stuff the day he was appointed

The worst manager we have ever had, and one of the worst humans ever employed by the club, a racist and a fascist.
What a load of shite.

His position became untenable when (if you believe the reports) the entire playing squad went to the CEO to say they couldn't play under him

I thought he was class like
He was good copy, bit like Ian Holloway, but he was no Football Manager

It wasn't the entire playing squad. One of the ones who often gets blamed wasn't even in the meeting.

Oh and it wasn't just the playing staff who disliked him.
