Really liked him tbh. Great to listen too, what he expected, his work ethic and desire, I totally bought into it and it was everything I wanted from a manager of my club. Unfortunately, for all this, he didn't know how to set a team up and get results, so just didn't work.
Was an absolute loon. Went to a foundation dinner at the SOL. He was the speaker. Came away from that afternoon wanting him gone. He’s not wired right. For all his sound bites that the fans loved at the time it was all about him. If he had kept his gob shut after the Tottenham match he may have stood a chance. You can’t continually out players in public and expect them to play for you. Add that to the fact he was a shite manager and you have the recipe for disaster we witnessed.

I loved the bloke.
If we had a team full of players with his work ethic, desire to win and ability we would have been nowhere near the relegation zone.
The entire day of the first 3-0 win from him getting off the team bus first and being the last in the door, to him celebrating with the fans at the end made it one of the best days of my life.

Ultimately it was never going to work long term as he is a lunatic. Even with shit players like ours, you have to have to manage the egos that come with them.

That knee slide

my gripe was nobody uttered a word about his political leanings whilst at west ham, sheff wed or swindon, then we sign him and its '''ooooo the mackems have a facist as boss''

I prefer to remember the performance of the lads on the pitch and the goals scored than that clown.

'Get off the pitch, this barely deserved victory with a scuffed goal which will be the only home win I ever achieve is all about me. Look at me. I'm looking at me. You should look at me. Everybody look at me.'

This will be the same man who used to regularly walk off training in a sulk, asked to be substituted, and feigned injuries whenever West Ham had a hard game in the north of England?

That kind of work ethic and desire?
