Assistant DOF at the time was some American college graduate in religious studies or something.

Who the fuck thought an Agent with help from Ryan Sachs was going to make a decent DoF wants shooting.

PDC was one of the best managers we had in my opinion just nothing that could of went right didn't after the season finished when he wanted to make his mark it was overruled by Di Fanti and left us with a terrible team that he couldn't work with.

We were fairly shit before the end of the season tbf. Humped the Mags somehow and played well v Everton (and Chelsea in fairness) but we were a disgrace at Villa. Similarly awful at home to Stoke and Southampton too. It was only other clubs being somehow worse that kept us up that year.

He's a bully with no man management skills, he was always going to fail.
Or someone who wanted the players to eat well, live well and have respect for the club.

I enjoyed his time with us. Perhaps he'd have been the man to build a team in the champ.

He was a fascist-sympathiser and a terrible manager to boot. No loss whatsoever.

Each manager has a number of factors to be a success, however that success is measured. Better regarded managers need fewer of these factors to be aligned to be perceived a success, less equipped managers need more or they look total twats....we have had a string of twats.

And I still think if the PdC factors could have been aligned we would have had a team to be proud of.

However he allowed the bat shit crazy voices in his head to actual believe he was going to receive the complete and total backing of the football clubs hierarchy. The pampered players crying like bitches and dear old Maggie and Uncle Ellis folding like a house of cards did for the PdC revolution.

And we are weaker for that.

Can not disagree with ANYTHING he says.

Di Canio on sky sport italy: "I did some mistakes at my experience at Sunderland, but THE PROBLEM was and is the board: no rules, no football mentality, no connection club to team, no programmes for future, players that arrived at training late or called to say "I am in the traffic so I cant arrive at training ground". I wanted british players but they bought players from 13 different countries. The only good thing are the fantastic fans, the best expecially for away games in all the League. If no changes inside the club.....will be a disaster for a long time as Nottingham or Blackburn."

BHH
I thought at the time when he stated he wanted British that Short was taking the piss out of him with those acquisitions. I now know he was 100%

Christ. PDC was a lifting manager in terms of tactics and methods. Some good philosophies aye, but had no idea how to go about it.

he might have been an absolute f***ing nutter but he had certain individuals sussed very quickly

exciting times in his short spell. the Newcastle and Everton games were f***ing brilliant
After the Everton game he came back out everyone stayed the place was rocking.

Got a feeling he won't be the last ex manager to open his mouth about the club over the coming months
Think his gagging order must have expired. Short was supposed to have moved to pastures new by now so it should not have mattered. But he can't even sell effectively.

I expect snippita from others to follow in due course as their own gagging orders expire.
