And you're basing that on all of how many games?Christ. PDC was a lifting manager in terms of tactics and methods. Some good philosophies aye, but had no idea how to go about it.

Didn't he have an excellent win percentage at Swindon, get them promoted and take them to Wembley ....... after they'd been poor for years?
I don't know much about his record tbh so I'll ask @Swindon On Tour
I'll tell you it was 13. Yes all of thirteen games with a pre-season of only Di Fanti signings. Anyone would get it all right wouldn't they given five games into the new season? Even Sam Allardyce ... not!!It was fairly plain to see from the games he took charge of.

I'd say, having been to all but one of those games, the players were deliberately ignoring his instructions and deciding how to play.
West Brom was a ludicrous spectacle.
if he comes back he will be managing a championship clubSurely the amount of posters thinking pdc can manage a premier league club is a windup?
I'm not a big Di Canio fan. I just think he wasn't condemned without trial by the media and some fans including Durham Miners. If the lad had been given as much time to 'get it right' as Moyes or, say, Advocaat who knows? He certainly couldn't and didn't do as badly as those two. I would say his three wins in thirteen games compares very favourably with just five wins all season from 34 games under David Moyes. You're obviously a big Di Canio fan. At least with Allardyce for example, you could see evidence of a playing style and an attempt to get something to work which eventually came to fruition.
I doubt PDC would've managed that, though I'll accept the signings that year were f***ing heinous - who was actually in charge of that? Contradictory comments from Di Canio on it.
Tidied.if he comes back he will be managing a league 1 club at best
us in another year thenTidied.

All the shite in media about his political leanings was a joke in all honesty. Remember that sackless fan on news when he was appointed wanting his season ticket money back!I'm not a big Di Canio fan. For the players to do what they did he must've been pretty bad mind. I don't but all this 'he just wanted them to be professional' bollocks. We had players on books who'd played for some top managers and I don't recall anyone of them digging out players for their lack of professionalism.
IMO the bloke was an egomaniac who wanted it to be all about him. After the Everton win he was embarrassing actually. We'd won a game of football and he was on the pitch taking all the adulation after the players had worked their nuts off and got us 3 points. I'd imagine if they hadn't already realised it that was the moment they realised he was a bellend. It certainly was for me.
The (west ham) media couldn't stomach the fact that we got their man.wasn't that an accusation played against MON as well.
I just wonder why PDC got so much stick here yet when he returns to west ham the media give him star billing
I remember watching the sky sports programme re journos on a sunday am, when one journo spoke with such hatred of PDC it was venomous. Ive never watched that programme since. not a word spoken about it when he was at swindonThe (west ham) media couldn't stomach the fact that we got their man.
Can't remember O'Neil going on the pitch with Irish music blaring and celebrating with all 4 corners of ground after a win mind.wasn't that an accusation played against MON as well.

He's a bully with no man management skills, he was always going to fail.
What has having OCD got to do with managing a football team? You talk as if it's a negative. This, so players were late then fine them! I'm sure he had a touch of football OCD and he couldn't man-manage to save his life.

Some people are driven. Some are perfectionists. Others might have OCD. I personally think anyone who achieves at the highest level at a sport probably has those traits but they may not qualify for a clinical diagnosis of OCD.Football OCD - you've got to have a bit of life outside of fitba!
