save loads of money by simply getting a gardener to come in every 2 weeks for a couple of hours and mow the lawn etc

As mentioned above, if you can't be arsed get someone to maintain it. Costs buttons.Or go ahead and destroy it and still have weeds growing out of the gravel / cheap paving.

This, its what i do too, one less takeaway etc a month would cover a few hours work

If it needs levelling you might need a few tons of soil or gravel/dolly. If there are old slabs or stuff that needs taken away there's another few hundred quid tipping costs. Then there's block edging if you want it to look nice. It soon adds up.

Anyway, crack on. Nee bother.

We paved ours, put a weed mat underneath and place your paving stones close together. Trust me.
