I stopped taking Paul Heaton seriously when he all of a sudden tried to rebrand himself as a Stone Island clad , Sheffield Utd Top boy.
Bizarre.

I could never get my head around how people thought/think that Housemartins/Beautiful South/Paul Heaton are good but Val Doonican and/or Roger Whittaker are somehow less acceptable. Much of a muchness for me. .

Thought the Housemartins were alright, that's about it.

Couldn't really get away with Beautiful South, but the first three solo albums were very good.
