Patterson, Younger, Neil and Diamond

It just shows what a terrible job is being done at the Academy when the likes of Diamond (21), Younger (21) and Neil (19) can't get regular games in our 3rd Division (!) team, yet Leicester manage to produce Luke Thomas who is able to play in the Premier League and score against Man Utd at Old Trafford at the age of 19!
One of our best performers this season came from the Wolves U23 side that finished a massive 1 point and 2 places ahead of ours in the league this season - depending what happens at the weekend we could be a division above them next season. Yet somehow the 4 key players from our U23s can’t get close to the first team.

Sounds more like something is blocking their route to the first team rather than lack of ability.

If we dont play them we will never know. These lads need experience sometime. Look at Embleton, never really been giving a proper chance here, now his finished above us and will be playing in the play off final. Ethan Robson is another example, released as not good enough, never really been given a chance, again the team he went 2 finished above us.

You could even use Sanderson as an example. He was only given a chance when all CB's were injured.

I dont have faith in those making the decisions that they are prepared to make tough calls, be prepared to really build a youthful side.

Our so called senior pros have proved yet again they arent up to it. They are weak losers

And your comments about conference north players is just a load of shite
Our senior pros have more importantly proved time and again how mentally weak they are, yet the younguns like Sanderson, Neill, Diamond even Younger what I've seen of him and notably Elliott have shown mental strength when given their heads.

One frightening thought is that these mentally weak senior pros are the very people our young players are being asked to listen to and look up to every day.

Mediocrity is a poison in a football club especially if you hand them positions of authority.

What are they actually thinking when they are doing this? Its totally baffling, add Hawke, who apparently needs to build his physicality. I wonder if this fucker would have given Michael Bridges a try, who was renowned for his physique? "Bring Sticky on" was the cry from a lad beside me in The Fulwell

Hopefully not for much longer

It's a poor excuse with Hawkes. Hes probably played in the best part of 100 senior matches in a shit house physical league

Only if they perform. Young players tend to blow hot and cold.
Apart from Patterson the others are in and around the 1st team
All our squad including our ‘better’ players blow hot and cold every f***ing week and that’s why we are stuck in this god forsaken league trying to be better than Accrington et al
