Spot on.
As soon as the playoffs are mathematically impossible leave the loanees and end of contract lads at home and play the kids and ones who will still be here next year and to hell with the finishing position. It’s for the clubs own good.

Remember when we were relegated under Coleman , last gave v Wolves, Stockdale put Maja and a couple of others in the side and we won easily

Could be Reid vs reading granted.

I don't know how good the 2 defensive players are, if the coaches believe they could make championship players then I'm all for it.
Reid v Reading l recall l was in Rhodes and rang home asking the score. 4-0 was the reply and l naturally assumed we had won. Couldn’t believe it when was told we had lost !

Neil and Diamond should be in the starting 11 full stop. Younger looked confident and assured when he came on last week, and if those 2 keepers are making such big errors, what other option is there than to give Pattinson a run in the side?... at least if he makes a mistake, he's young enough to learn from it.

It wasn't long ago I was saying Parkinson needed to find his balls, take more chances, and be more dynamic with his selections. Theres an element of groundhog day keeping in again, now under Johnson.

Every time I see Neil and Diamond in the same sentence I can’t help thinking people are talking about the singer. Then I have a little  to myself. So sad I know haha

Younger looks quality, I honestly wouldn't be averse to starting him. Diamond has to start imo and Leadbitter/Scowen are so average I'd be happy to see Neil given a chance.

As for the keeper, I can't say. Haven't seen enough of him. For the record, Burge shouldn't have been dropped, I'd seen enough of Matthews before last night's game to know he isn't good enough and said as such in the Burge discussion after the MK Dons game. He was made a scapegoat basically for some truly horrific defending.

The seasoned pros have got us in this mess and they’re not going to get us out of it. The manager needs to grow a pair and sprinkle some youthful energy and much needed legs in the team. It might save his job because the current bunch just cost managers their jobs.

Good post Ellis.

Hopefully the KLD era sees us bringing fresh ideas into the frame as this fella talks the talk and he’s no different to the dinosaurs judging by what we have seen.

Yes - but I think it’s tough to make these sorts of strategic decisions mid-season - at least when we are still in the race. For all we don’t look like a good bet for promotion, it’s so transformative for the club that I don’t think we can forget about it till the chance is completely gone. As such, the new regime is kinda mandated to keep chasing it for now. The time for sweeping changes is the summer, really.
How many summers since Bruce left?

If Johnson was the man for the job, you would already see a difference in our play...if mid season is so tough to make strategic decision, then why dump the manager who’s already there? At some point the band aid needs to be ripped off. We are just continuing the process that keeps us spiraling in the toilet bowl of mediocrity...imo!

I really can’t understand how Neil hasn’t gotten a game in the league yet. He was excellent pre season and has looked comfortable playing in cup games

Should we have done this?

As its looking likely we would get promoted this season these lads are still going to be very inexperienced for next season.

Have we missed a trick by not playing the long game?
