Read that last night. Quite a sad and unsettling tale.
Ive read about PP before but don't ever recall seeing him bowl
I read the article and I'm probably being thick but what does he suffer from, depression?

He was one who wasn't celebrated as much as the likes of croft, Roberts, holding, Marshall etc etc but I remember watching him as a young un and thinking how quick he was with a strange action.
Windies in that era just had fast bowler after fast bowler coming through. Sylvester Clarke, Tony Gray, Wayne Daniel, Anderson Cummins, Kenny and winston Benjamin were some of the back fillers and even one who unbelievably didn't get a cap Franklyn Stephenson.
Sad story about Patrick that though.
Never saw him live but remember watching him in the old John player league on sunday grandstand for Surrey and plenty footage around of him on YouTube as well. Any of those players I've mentioned would've played 100 tests for the windies in this era.Judging from the article, it could be anything from a progressive neurological illness, to paranoia or clinical depression
By all accounts, Clarke was the fastest around - did you ever see him in action?
Franklyn Stephenson pretty much dominated county cricket in the late 80's, 1000 runs & 100 wickets a season!

Yeah 3 good shouts them.Caribeean cricket was so strong back then. Not so sure about Andy Cummins but the rest definitely have a case - Clarke, Daniel and Gray's domestic records are outstanding.
Winston Davis could probably be thrown in there too, and Eldine Baptise, and Ezra Moseley....

I bet cardigan Connor never even warranted a conversation in that era.
