fuck off you little toad.
Eh ? That’s utter Shite mate. You need to back up comments like that. This is the worst position we’ve been in our history with our worst Mananger and your stating other fans who Don’t post on here are happy with that. Frightening

No one I know was happy and most of them are 'outside the online community', so I don't know who you were talking to. 2 questions, please answer: 1. Do you believe him when he says he wants to create a pathway for youth. I don't and his record so far would suggest otherwise. And 2. Do you think playing 3 defensive central midfielders is a recipe for promotion? I certainly don't.

Only those who haven't done their research on the man think that he's unwilling to create a pathway to the first team for young players. This is his record at Chalrton...

Jonjo Shelvey (17) - 27 apps
Scott Wagstaff (19) - 37 apps
Grant Basey (20) - 22 apps
Rob Eliott (23) - 33 apps
Darren Randolph (22) - 11 apps
Chris Solly (18) - 11 apps
Tamer Tuna (17) - 1 app

Mostly players who Parkinson gave debuts too and gave them a regular run of games at first team level. If our players aren't progressing to the first team, it's because they're not following or meeting PP's development plan. His track record speaks for itself.

It really doesn’t like. The bloke isn’t a good manager and he’ll never be good enough for SAFC.

Parkinson is utter shite. He has assembled a team of plodders and his tactics are truly awful. We will probably scrape into playoffs. Shameful. Parkinsonball is a plague on the eyes.

Oh dear...why would I be bothered about Charlton? I asked two questions about him at Sunderland and you have ignored them. He has been here a year and he is clearly not offering a pathway at Sunderland. You are talking about a job he did 10 years ago and he was sacked from. I presume that is why he doesnt trust youth now.

The other question was whether you think playing 3 defensive central midfielders is the route to get promotion. I presume you'll ignore that one as well.

As a further aside I know quite a few Sunderland fans who dont go on message boards and none of them were happy with Parkinson's appointment so I cant imagine who you knock about with.

I'm not having Rob Elliott and Darren Randolph at 23 and 22 as youngsters.
I'm also not including Tamer Tuna with 1 app.
So that leaves 4 players.

What about Bolton, Colchester and Bradford?

He's a solid L1 manager and his previous seasons suggest he has a 1 in 3 chance of taking us up. He's the ultimate pragmatists choice, part of his problem is that he was appointed in an era where we are starved of hope.

The whole chat about his League one pedigree should be academic anyway. His record in the Championship is woeful and his percentages style of football would be good only for a grim season where we get shafted by all but the other strugglers.

This is my primary problem with him, its such a short term appointment that even if we do get promoted we will likely have a new manager and a rebuild (if we stay-up) and it starts all over again. We may as well bite the bullet and start a proper from the ground up rebuild now. The fact that this would need new and ambitious owners is exactly why he's going to be here for the foreseeable.

Sad times.

Spot on.

Jack Ross team of two years ago would murder Parkinsons team.
I'm not sure I agree having watched all three seasons. Ross also had the advantage of having international (former) premier league standard players on the books (Oviedo and Cattermole particularly, plus Maja)
