Point here is that Parkinson has never been able to lead to team to hammer a division to secure promotion. His teams simply don’t score the goals and his two automatic promotions have taken advantage of a lower total needed. This is our blueprint for the season and surely is a concern? I’ve included his Bradford promotion that also supports this.

I’ve also included his Bradford City promotion below.

Bradford City
Finished 7th place
Points: 69
GD: +11
GF: 63
GA: 52

Good enough for 11th place in 18/19.

Brilliant post.

that’s just shows exactly his limitations .

I thought when we dropped into this toilet we'd start top two and stay there all season! That was two seasons ago
Anar same. We were playing shit and winning at the top. I thought we’d walk the league when we started to play well. We just never got any better

We still comfortably outscored Parkys teams.

Why on earth should Sunderland in the third tier for the 3rd consecutive year be in any position to win a league by a mile and why would you expect Colchester and Bolton too. This is part of the problem the belief that because we are Sunderland we should be pissing all over everyone. It’s a load of bollocks

That he was fundamentally a bad appointment is so clear to everyone on here except @Summerbee. I expect us to dodge about between 4th and 8th and then get found out in the play offs by a team which has pace, youth and ambition - 3 attributes totally devoid in a Parkinson team. He is neither a good appointment for the short term or the long term and is thoroughly depressing.

I think our problem under Parkinson is that his style only works against the mid to lower end league one teams. Those going for the play offs have too much for us playing this way I believe. What is the answer, well I am no Parkinson fan or his style of football, however I don’t see us in a position to improve on this getting rid of the manager as we don’t have the players,,,,,,,,,,unless we bring some of the young lads through.

We have young lads ready to come through . The dick of a dinosaur won’t play them.
