I would contend that it's not negativity. It's realism.
You might be right but we are where we are at the moment and the fans moaning about it isn't going to make the team play any better.

We have created a lot more chances in the last two games than we have all season, apart from the Tranmere game and if he continues to improve performances that can only be a good thing. Give him a bit of a chance and we can see where things go from there.

The OP was banned for the sake of his own sanity when Ross was manager. PP out! posts all day, everyday, imminent....
Tremendously interesting.

3 wins in 17. Are you for real? I’ve no words.

Yes I'm for real, I've chosen to forget the 15 games preceding, it's pointless referring to them now. We've just played well the past two games and should have picked up 6 points, after a solid display, what's the point of us referring to games months ago?

It's clear to me that Grigg and McNulty haven't earned their place. I would suggest in both cases it is down to lack of fitness and desire. PP is turning things around by getting the simple message across if you are professional and graft you will get his support. Wyke is providing that and if you are replacing him with someone who isn't then it spreads through the team.
I dint buy this. Wyke is and has been shocking. His chance v Doncaster was a disgrace.
Hes building his side around a donkey and to say we were terrific today makes me extremely concerned that this is his standard. Hopefully someone comes in and takes the club forward as we will stagnate at best with this bloke at the helm.

Why are people obsessed with comparing Parkinson to Ross??

Why can’t we say Ross was shit and has been replaced with someone even worse?

Is that not exactly what you have done?

Because the sample size for PP is too small to decide that he is even worse and the last couple of performances suggests we can expect further improvement.

What are you on? Oh we lost 50 in a row but got 6 wins right after them so fuck it.

Is he really? Or are his choices limited in the short term to one player who is trying his bollocks off and cares as opposed to two who look as if they don't give a shit? PP left Maguire out for similar reasons and it seems as if he has knuckled down and got sharper. If those two do exactly the same then I am sure they will also get their opportunity.

The transfer window opened TODAY. with two half decent performances lets cut a bit slack eh?

couple of things.
1. he was offered the job he took it, he’s our manager.
2. Anyone who believes that all the problem was with Ross is naive.
3. he’s changed the formation mid season.. a formation Ross could not make work.
4. Hes not been able to bring in any of his own players yet.
5. He has acted with great dignity despite the abuse and expectations. Not blamed anyone, not got defensive.
6. He was not an inspirational appointment, but we have him now and he’s wise enough to get us promoted.
8. Give him a chance

Agree with all points except point 2. I think this side has the potential to show ross up for what he was. A bluffer. No doubt he had issues to deal with but show me a manager that doesnt. That is a huge part of being a manager, you manage situations and people. Obviously PP was no ones first choice but he has had a rough deal. I honestly believe if we had appointed him instead of ross, we would be in a much better position now. Hes no mourinho but he is competent and experienced at this level. This is no knee jerk from me btw after a couple of decent performances. I have repeatedly made the point that he shouldn't be blamed for this mess. The situations these two managers have come into this club under are like night and day. People accuse others of being taken in by donald but i think more were, and are still being, taken in by ross. Hes hugely culpable for this mess in my opinion.

Wake up man, he's hardly had it easy for goodness sake. For one, our squad is not as good as people think it is. We rarely outplayed anyone under Ross and really struggled to create opportunities whilst also conceding regularly. We've played well the past two games, let's hope Parkinson has finally gotten through to the players, it sure does look like he has based on what I've seen today.

Hopefully he brings in a few new players this month and helps improve the first team. I can understand the flack he's taken, but if we're seeing improvement, he also deserves praise, as do the players.

What did you feel about Ross'' last 21 games which brought us 6 wins including the most embarrassing of performances at Lincoln and Peterborough where we got absolutely hammered? Were you as critical of him? PP inherited a side that were losing games and giving in at the first sign of something going wrong.
