Parking in a child parking space

I park in them because I’ve got a big posh car and I’m sick of twats banging it with their doors. Mind I do normally have a child with me ... although I’m not sure an 11 year old counts ??
You’re the worst kind!
Seen a plump wifey park in one, out got her kid, looked young but had stubble

Getting the car seats in and out can be a right struggle. Not only is it good for the parent to get a little more space, its good for you not to have one parked next to you, possibly dinting your doors.

When we just had one kid, we'd park slightly over on one side - but with twins, nope!

& that's my other plan. Park out the way, in some space.
But some knacker always - and I mean f***ing ALWAYS - parks right f***ing next to me, despite there being double spaces all over the place.

It isn't policed because even a smidge of human decency should prevail

Cars are generally wider now
Parking spaces not so much.

Under 1's often have the entire car-seat coming out and clicking onto the pram.
Try doing that with twins when you've got 2 cars a foot away.

If someone has 3 kids, but only 2 hands?

I didn't even have seat belts until I was about 8. I remember flying across the back bench of the car
As a baby, apparently it was just a moses basket on your knee!
Strap them together. Nurseries manage with about 30 kids and 4 staff.

Just Bell pieces
lad parked at the garage half across the small walkway to get to pumps from kiosk and half across disabled space . lazy fat twat

Unless all the other spaces are full it isn’t anywhere near ridiculous. It’s a process put in place to help those who find it either more difficult to get in & out of cars so need more room, or more dangerous to navigate a car park than a fit & healthy adult who can spot dangers.
Genuine physically disabled or elderly who can't walk far then absolutely.

I use them with the kids, despite them being the younger end of junior school age as the youngest has coordination problems, no spatial awareness and I want to make sure she doesn't bash anyone else's car doors. Never likely to meet the criteria for a blue badge - we don't even get DLA for her as she is (no word of a lie this was the rejection reason) "a well behaved child".

I’m not a parent. Never been required to deal with young children in a car but, as I’m not thick, I appreciate that getting youngsters in and out of child seats, organising buggies and a whole load of other stuff might be difficult if your car is wedged closely between two others like in a typical car parking space. It’s also a hazard for the adjacent parked cars. And there are safety issues.

Is it just me or is it increasingly difficult for people to understand anything, absolutely anything at all, unless it directly and personally effects them. Anybody that gets the slightest consideration that’s different to what we get is suddenly ‘entitled’. Get a f***ing life.

Are we evolving into creatures with a total absence of empathy. It USED to be what defined being ever so slightly human for fucks sake

Spot on that.

I think it’s a permanent sense of feeling like the world is stacked against you. People are always looking for the reason why someone else has an advantage over them, and they always think that advantage is unmerited. Even car park spaces...

Spot on. I read a story yesterday about someone in court for using their car to drive into a KFC worker who had refused them service as they jumped the queue. Christ man, queue jumping at KFC

When you’ve got nee kids with you. Bit of a twats trick isn’t it?

Said this numerous times when this has come up.
Parent and child spaces do NOT need to be near the front of the store. They NEED to be wide enough so you can get a carry seat in/out without dinging cars and space so you can manoeuvre other kids safely.
People (kernts) wouldn't be tempted to park in them if they weren't so conveniently positioned.

If I had it within my power, I'd fine anyone for improper use of a disabled/parent and child bay. A lot.
Might make them think about being a selfish prick next time

I can’t remember where I saw this but I remember reading a story about a woman with a newborn baby. She was indicating to turn into a parent space when some child free twat nipped past her, giving her a cheery wave when she yelled at him.

She parked her car behind his, blocking him in, got the baby out, went into the shop and told them what she’d done. She told them they’d find her in the cafe, feeding the baby. Then she did about a month’s worth of shopping.

The bloke came out, found her car blocking him in and complained to the staff in the shop, who told him to do one and maybe he’d not be so selfish next time. She was there 3 hours and he’d only nipped in for fags.

He's a dick but that doesn't justify what she did mind. He should have slashed her tyres and put her windows out.
