Pallion Shipyard redev

"We have just learned via members of The North East Party of some important - but potentially concerning - news. A collection of around eight development companies were seen being shown around the Pallion shipyard site a week or two ago, reportedly by the premier estate agent and investment management company of Savills. However, this cannot yet be confirmed.

As soon as we have more information, we shall update you. However - and as we have no reason to believe this did not happen - we would like to ask Sunderland, City Council if they were aware of this site visit?

To members of this page, we kindly ask you to please enquire with your local councillors to see if they were aware of this, particularly those in the Pallion and surrounding wards."

amazing isn’t it that they jump to the conclusion that it’s 8 development companies? What if it was the owners of the building which showed these people around and not the council? And even if it was the council, what if it was 8 developers interested in using it or developing it for the offshore wind sector as they wanted?

Furthermore why is it that the North East Party are the ones to hear about this.

Purely politically driven, the whole group.

Showing developers around the site is the logical next step following what is said in the link in post #1 of this thread.

True but developers could mean a lot of things developers don’t just deliver housing. There are many developers in the industrial sector also. We will have to wait and see if these people were ‘developers’ or ‘prospective tenants’.

One person makes reference to Fulwell73.

It would surely have been advertised for it's development potential if Savilles are acting as agents. Made up guff.

Savills may be representing the developer / investor / tenant or whoever as I think Dunlop Heywood are the agent on behalf of the owners. It’s been available to lease for ages.

As if hearing something from the North East Party makes it more plausible. The bloke running the page has failed with every political party going and has now latched onto them. The party where all the political misfits end up. The party that has its ear so close to the ground that they didn't even know their main man was a nonce.

Love the vague wording. 'cannot yet be confirmed'. Aye, because you've just made it up.

they're all off their tits
look at the posts where he won't show his business plan, then says if somewhere won't support an idea a business plan is pointless

They also using this H&W news to justify that a business plan is just some way of the council putting people off. You’d hope that the council also asked H&W to present a business case as well, particularly as H&W almost went bust in 2019.

Someone on here a while back told one of the leaders of the reopening group to show him his business plan in the form of a personal message so it remained private..the person off here told him he’d take it and show it to some top banking financial type people and then get back to them as to wether they had the foundations of a viable business or not..didn’t happen..’oh we’re not ready to divulge that sort of information yet’..🤷🏻‍♂️

Yeah think it was Hells Bells. The issue they have now is that how can the council or the owners of the site trust them when they make all sorts of accusations?
