Judge a teams support on their away following. Palace's is shite. They'll probably only bring about 1000 up here.

Care to let us in on what you are talking about then?
Until then, I'm going to laugh at their embarrassing fake 'ultras'.

it cant be that many years mind
Like I say, you cant deny they make plenty of noise. How long have they had this organised orchestration now? I certainly cant remember it the last time we were playing them in the second tier.
Nah, cos they're shit.Logon or register to see this image
Compare that to Arsenal and City's club attempts in the CL midweek.
How are they fake btw? Because they're English?

Chanting is part of the game, if that's a "glee club", what's 90 minutes of silence interrupted only by groans and conversation due to boredom?
You're right they make noiseit feels very forced and artificial. Cant knock the fact they make noise but its just so very un-English.
The way they were gan on at Rooney was like he was the most hated player from the opposition in a derby. Bit over the top like.
Its background noise and a way of supporters keeping themselves entertained. As I previously said, it seems like every song is scheduled in for a certain time slot and regardless of situation that schedule wont be interrupted. There is something special about spontaneity at a match. There is nothing quite like a desperate and quiet murmur from the crowd in a dull match only for it to be turned on its head by a moment of action on the park, whether it be a bit of skill, a quality save, a crunching tackle or a refereeing decision.
At Palace, they are singing Simon and Garfunkel on 65 minutes whether Jedinak is putting in a crunching tackle or Tony Pulis is adjusting his cap.
Second half 2-0 down still going at it hammer and tongs. Fair play to them imo
