Fair points marra but they had a good reputation for making a atmosphere in the championship before they got promotion. Like I said before if ot means you need to get organized and everybody singing from the same hymn sheet as it were to get a atmosphere going I am all for it

Like I say, you cant deny they make plenty of noise. How long have they had this organised orchestration now? I certainly cant remember it the last time we were playing them in the second tier.

For pundits like Savage to come out and say they are the best supporters in the league is a nonsense IMO. I actually find their support strange. They seem to sing songs that aren't particularly supportive if you know what I mean. For example, if we were 1-0 up with a few minutes to go, or 1-0 down and needed a goal desperately, we would give a rendition of sing your hearts out for the lads or whatever, they seem to sing Mrs Robinson whilst banging a drum. I dont know what it is but it just all seems too orchestrated and too planned. There seems no spontaneity.

Ive already talked too much about it

If it generates noise wheres the problem in it being orchestrated?

It's more than just making noise though. It's a load of kids or saddos decked out in black Stone Island gear who think they're hard and that smokebombs or 'pyro' are cool.

As @The Sheepfolds End says, it's forced because they're not ultras, but try to copy teams from other countries where it is part of the culture.

Without doubt the best atmosphere iscreated by their fans , fantastic none stop chanting and none of it is boring 30 yr old shite like most other clubs including us belt out every match .
They are the best and they know it.

only watched the first 20 minutes, but all I saw was them holding a few bits of foil and singing a Dave Clark Five song. Bit 60's for me.

Thats the thing about Palace though. It's novelty. It's their first season back in the Premier League and theyre all cock a hoop. If they stay up and have four or five seasons of struggle it will quieten. Very similar things were said of Stoke four or five years ago and the atmosphere is as flat as a fart there again now.

Atmospheres at the bread and butter games are largely poor but most clubs supporters raise their games for the big or important fixtures.

Palace's malarky is a fad. An artificial fad.

They've been doing it for years in the championship. It isn't a fad.
