Sunderland is still one of the best crowds in the Premiership, when we score I end up three seats along jumping up and down being hugged by some sweaty old fucker i've never seen in my life.... If you watched the Arsenal fans when the camera went on them after their goals against us yesterday it more like a quick fist pump and a YES! before turning to your mate to say what a great goal it was.
The atmosphere against the Mags at home was immense. Tells you that it is there, always has been and will surface given the right match.

Hate to agree but I will.

Best thing about them is they don't pinch other teams songs from europe ( apart from the ones that take the piss out of other teams chant ).

They come up with their own English chants.

No friggin drum!

None of this - oh I heard this chant on a trip or watching foreign football and they all waved their scarves above their head while doing it! = lets copy it what absolute sad *****, have some friggin pride and create your own stuff.

Viva Ronaldo taken from Spain. Banks of the irwell is also taken from Europe, as is their going to Moscow chant.

They nicked our were on our way too.

Still the best though.

Not at all but the majority of people who do sit there are either middle aged men, OAP's or people with young children, hardly the clientele you would expect to throw beer around.
To be honest, I don't see the problem other than the potential for throwing. I was drinking pints on the terrace at Wembley in 85 and the plastic glass was a flimsy thing that you would find hard to throw

I don't understand though how it is acceptable to drink in the concourse where the risk of drink throwing is the same as in the actual stand.

Don't really see how like. Bunch of kids aged 12-16 standing singing songs isn't nowt special. I watched Boro/Leeds yesterday and a 15 year old Ginger kid was standing on his seat with his back to the game getting the crowd going. It's not Italy were there to watch a game of footy man.

Not if full. People would be drenched in beer every game.[DOUBLEPOST=1393162114][/DOUBLEPOST]

The majority are in their 20s/30s. Haven't got a clue about Boro.

The culture here is vastly different from Germany, I'd even say the culture in the North is fairly different from the non-urban Southern areas.

People would throw pints and then look into the face of the drenched victims and say AYE AND?

In Germany it just doesn't work like that......:lol::lol:
