Pakistan test series tv blackout?

Yeah that does ring a bell. That J Liew is a bit of a knacker too mind.
Certainly, without excusing the foul mouthed tirade it provoked, the original article that they fell out over was poor in its failure to research or provide any historical context. In particular in its characterisation of Leland Hone, who played for Lillywhite’s XI against XI of Victoria and NSW (or, as they called it later and call it now, the first test between England and Australia) as a “foreigner”. Any basic knowledge of both Anglo-Irish political history in the Victorian era and of the representative status of the “England” team not only in the Victorian era but until about 1990 would tell you that he was not one on either account. You need to be nailed on in your research and sound with your analogies if you’re going to start alluding even obliquely to mentions of racism.
