Pace and Creativity



We have not strengthend a team that was struggling to perform last season. Most of our signings tend to be squad fillers rather than players to go into our starting 11. It's just shite. People saying our defence is stronger based on very little evidence so far. Same as up front. We rely solely on Maguire, Gooch or hume to create something and of not we have fuck all different. We don't even play to their strengths, just hoofing the ball up front with very little aim or forethought. We have had 6 months to work on this and served up that today
 
It was our biggest problem towards the end of Reid's tenure. Other teams could break out of defence and be in our box within a few seconds. We'd get as far as the half way line, stop, cut inside, knock the ball back to the full back, inside to the defensive central midfielder, by which time the opposition have regrouped, and we haven't even got out of our own half.

And, barring a short period under Bruce, it's been the same for nearly 20 years.
