If the reason was he was assaulted were because of his sexuality or political leanings then I will let anyone have that high ground, however, we only have one side of this story.

The only side we really need is he seems to be the victim of assault. Unless he started it and it was proportionate self defence then it's not on.

If it's motivated by his political stance or sexuality it's worse than it already is.

Like I said, I can see why he would get decked and being gay or a labour supporter wouldn't be on my list.

Politics aside, what happened sounds genuinely awful and that kind of violence is not acceptable.

Iirc when he walked off that show it was because the presenter and other guest(?) were claiming that an evil bastard who walked into a gay club and murdered gay people because they were gay didn't do it because he hated gays.

That seems different from him not getting his own way....

He wasn't prepared to listen to other people's opinion, even if he didn't agree he didn't come across very well.

It's no ok but it does happen in every town all over the world at closing time and the reasons are normally because people are pissed and their judgment is shite at that time of night with a belly full of drink.

Now I don’t condone the attack whatever the motives but every time I have seen him on political shows on the tele I can see why someone would want to deck him. I’m sure the details of the alleged attack will come out and if it has nothing to do with his political position or his sexuality then I hope the people who are pointing the finger are going to apologise for their mistakes.
He grates me when he’s on the tele, god knows how I would find him if he’s been in the pub all night.
