What was the deal with Cattermole? The management have been pro-active in getting the big wages off the books so presumably he will have been offered a similar deal to Cattermole to get him of the books.

No we are not, we finished 5th having been 2nd with a few weeks to go, at times we played some superb football and we had the best player in the league......We made cup final and play off final which we lost at the death......Stinking the league out? Have a word with yourself man.
They do but there is a next raft of players and quality scouting will find them.....Its why Southampton have consistently produced cracking players from their academy. Also think its important that they academy gets a reputation for being able to progress players through to big careers. It takes time, effort and focus but we have largely wasted the last decade buying players who are no better than our academy players for shed loads of money.......£14 million for Ndong, £8 million for Pappy...Might as well have blooded our best kids.
From what I understand from someone on here is the payments due on rest of his contract, around 2 years, are being spread over 4 years. What was the deal with Cattermole?
I'd be surprised if the club fucked up mind. I reckon they'd drive him down themselves if they found someone to take him.He nearly went at Christmas, on loan, but didn’t the club fuck the paper work up! And I’m sure I’ve read some links to foreign clubs. I’d expect him to move this season, can’t imagine the club would take the piss on the fee as to just get him off the books.

Seems f***ing stupid - same outlay with nothing in return? From what I understand from someone on here is the payments due on rest of his contract, around 2 years, are being spread over 4 years.
I am sure there is more to than that but short term it has financial benefits.
Would be a good question to ask on the next podcast. He was at WBA expected to sign on loan and us still making up part of the wage and for some reason we pulled the plug IIRC or we didn't do it in time - been different messages coming out about it since.
Yep, only works financially.Seems f***ing stupid - same outlay with nothing in return?
Professionalism should be minimum expected but unfortunately that's not what we had. So in comparison to the rest of the shite we had he has done okwas lorded as a great professional on here last season for just knuckling down and playing in League One and picking up his 2mill. I wish he had fucked off last season tbh.
Give ya heed a shake, 5th top of the pub league, bottled both finals, our football was and remains Fookin chronic, our academy continues to be plundered, this is the worst team we've ever produced in our history....FACT
You said we were stinking the place out though, that is an absolute lie isnt it. Stinking the place out suggests that we were struggling in the league, not losing 5 league games all season and getting a points total that would normally see us in the top two. When we were in the Premiership and the Championship we were stinking the place out and did so in the Prem for most of our 10 years there.
We are a Premier League klerb, we are stinking out League Wan....we shoulda battered the majority of those teams...
No we're not though are we? We are in league 1 because we deserve to be in league 1......We had an owner who ran the club like a Sunday league team and turned us from a competent Premier league team to a league 1 team..........Until you understand and accept where you are then it makes it almost impossible to get back to where you would like to be......Once you accept that we are a league 1 side with huge potential and all the facilities in place to become a Premier league side again then you will probably be far less angry about life. Pretending you are a Premier league club when nothing other than fan base and ground is Premier league is just a bit desperate and sad tbh. We would laugh at the mags for claiming they are a Premier league club if they were in league 1, its just embarrassing.
Why the Fook an I angry, Footy doesn't dominate my life...
But, think small and you will be.....
Ironically we have the opportunity to think bigger than we have been for generations. A chance to start again without the mental contracts that have killed us for years and without all the debt we had.......For once we can build the house on foundations of rock rather than quick sand......Sadly some people who think we have some devine right to be in the top flight would repeat the mistakes of the past and just throw money at the problem again until we either got promoted or failed and went bankrupt.
