Our Run In

After today I really like our final fixtures.

I’d only really say Everton away is the one I wouldn’t be surprised if we didn’t get something (As they are also having a good season and have a lot to play for with home advantage).

Forest are fighting but if we get anything today then next Friday will be bouncing under the lights at the SOL and the chance to go/cement 6th before anyone else plays the lads will be up for it.

Wolves had a brief resurgence a month back but have shipped 7 goals in their last 2 games to Leeds and West Ham so I think we can beat them (Always risky with a relegated team but have to be targeting 3 points).

Then for the two home games against the big clubs, Man Utd and Chelsea, again I think the players will be fired up for them and the atmosphere incredible. With the added incentive that the Chelsea game could be a decider for Europe. Recapture a bit of the early season home form and I think we can get 4 points from those.

Everton away aside (Although we have beaten them this season away already) I’d fancy us to get 9+ points from the other 4 games.

Biggest game of the season for us today!

Win and we can get up to 6th (depending on the Merseyside Derby)

Players are coming back from injury now and before last weekend we hadn’t had a game for 3 weeks.

We should be fresh going into the final straight.

No excuses! We have an opportunity here to gey into europe and it is in our own hands, we don’t need to rely on any other results as long as we do our job.

Very difficult game today but let’s nick it 2-1.

And with only one game a week from now on we should hopefully be going into every game with players fit and that weeks tactics well drilled.

Even if we go 7th thats still a European place. A win today is huge

Agreed.

In a way also (tempting fate here like) but the players we have injured - Moore, Mundle & Ta Bi.

These three would be the last three we’d require if everyone was fit.

At this point everything is in out favour.

Villa, Forest & Wolves.

Three massive games!

I actually think Ta Bi and Angulo coming back from injury could play a part.

Clearly neither is the finished article, both still give us different attacking options and more ability to bring on fresh legs in the second half.

A point today would be great, Forest and wolves would have to be wins to give us a chance as the 3 teams above in good form .

We absolutely bossed Everton in the FA Cup away. They got a very soft penalty but fully deserved to get beat.

It’s funny how things change. At start of the season I thought the last five were tough, three sides likely to be still battling at top for some sort of European spot and two battling at the bottom so still something to play for but now they all look winnable. I don’t think we will win all 5 but it’s doable.
