Our Friends In The North

aye, Gina M is a Seaham girl, I think.

All the three males did have very convincing Geordie accents, though.
I watched my DVD set during breakdown and it was easy to see why Craig, Strong & Eccleston became as big as they did!
Do you think? I thought Christopher Eccleston and Mark Strong had convincing accents, but Daniel Craig's character was called Geordie so that people could work out where he was meant to be from. Too much like the exaggerated accent people from down south put on when they're taking the piss.

That said it's twenty five years since I watched it.

Not watched it in about 15 years but don't think that will be a problem about aging, because it starts off in the 60s, then goes 70s, 80s and 90s.
Absolutely magnificent show, very strong cast.
One of the best endings to a show as well.
All the politician and others were renamed and they had to wait till they were dead before making it, T Dan, Poulson, Cunningham amd Maudling. The central moterway is a lasting memorial to T Dan vision. It was a true reflection of the north east and historical event from the sixties onward as I remember
