our fans obsession with sacking people

I think the thing people compare Moyes about, is he seems to have a cycle of 2 or 3 good seasons and a rubbish one. But the board/fans don't knee jerk.

Although listenening to the radio this season there has been Everton fans on saying he needs to go as he can't change a game tactically etc etc.

Be careful what you wish for.

So?! I don't see your point. Where are our 2 good seasons? Those are our two good seasons and we should expect a really bad one next?

sick of hearing it man fuck sake we are gonna have our highest finish for years stop f***ing moaning! the fans are obsessed with sacking people! whats to say the next guy will be a sucess! we were never gonna keep up our early form man, we played far above our ability and exceeded everyones expectations there is no way we could of kept it up and finished higher! why on earth people want a bloke sacked when we are 10th in the league is f***ing stupid forget the form and look at the table at end of season! The blip is over just enjoy the best team we have ever had!

I was saying people on here compare Moyes' situation at Everton to ours and get a bit confused with what they are talking about. I was just trying to state in my mind what people on here might be trying to say but they are confusing the facts of the matter. Because as stated he didn't have a bad start. I think what people are trying to say is keeping a bit faith can work but may have obstacles on the way. I am confused now. I need to stop trying to second guessing what people are trying to say.

I have never personally compared Moyes and Bruce or Everton and Sunderland as there is no comparison.

Not the best team in my life time. Probably best individual players, but not team. Best team was Reidy's as it worked and was well balanced.

You don't need superstars in every postion for a team to do well. You just need everyone to be pulling in the same direction and working together.

was it hell man jesus christ! there was only quinn and phillips who where international class and could of played for a better team

You are f***ing clueless marra.

Fuck me, wish we had huchinson, schwarz, superkev, quinny, gray and makin now...even craddock to settle things, maybe thome anarl.

summerbee, johnson.....??

Actually more i think of it how many of todays team get in the 1999-2001 team.

f***ing think before posting shite.

perception maybe..

any of our strikers better than quinn and superkev?

better than huchinson?

are our defenders actually any better individually than the likes of thome, gray, craddock.I'm not sure like...makin????

could argue sess and steed, but fuck me johnson and summerbee were not to shabby.

I'm not buying it like.

Aye it was only a 9 game winless run this season, f***ing hell man if the way bruce handled this run and the team didnt alarm you nowt will. I said ages ago i think he should be given one more season but i was pushed to my limits during this run. If he hasnt learnt from this run this year he never will. Serious questions need to be asked in the summer and his backroom staff needs to be looked at as its obvious someone is givning him bad info re players coming back from injury.

It didn't alarm me, as I was confident that the team/manager was good enough to overcome it, and never once thought we were in serious relegation trouble.

I KNOW what a relegation team looks like, as I've seen enough of them over the years, and this season's SAFC isn't it.

SB is the best available for the job, and has the confidence of the Chairman and Owner, as evidenced by the award of a new, extended (and no doubt improved!) contract.

That's not to say that questions shouldn't be asked, just like they should be asked in any business: what can we do better next time around?

Maybe I'm a bit more detatched from it all due to my physical location, and people aren't talking about it 24/7 (no-one in my company here has ever heard of SAFC - mind, I'm not too up to date with Indian/Pakistani domestic cricket either!), or maybe I've just seen it all too many time before to get too worked up about it.

Bruce In!

what its embarrassing to expect the manager to win a few games without hovering above the relegation zone, especially when the club is backed by 40k fans and he has spent tens of millions of pounds.

wish more fans were like me TBH. the likes of you are far too accepting of rubbish at SAFC and have been for too long.

look at the way you support SAFC before you look at me.

If every supporter was like you, the ground would have no fucker in it.

Incorrect Sir....

I have not said we are at fault. To put it simple, if a neutral football fan went to one of our league games and one of our cup games the difference would be evident for them to see in a major way. Why is that?

MBH stated we pick weak teams in these competitions and I showed we did not and the attitude of the players and fans can not be fully controlled by Bruce. He picked strong teams from the 1st team squad for both games yet the attitude from everyone was still crap.

Something needs to change somewhere for us to do well in the cups. As I said we may be better drawn away from home.

10th is currently fact. We will talk about 12th if it happens.

It is better to talk about facts than possibilities.

FOUR points out of THIRTY is also fact.

We werent looking like a relegation side, f***ing hell everything else was saying otherswise as well as the form table. Im chuffed we won yesterday and look to be safe but it doesnt paper over bruces failings this season and if he is to stay on i hope he has learnt from it but his track record shows he doesnt seem to.

Really?
And don't give me MON, please!

yes really....no point debating if you cannot see MON is a better manager...or other names.

Keep your heed buried in the sand marra.

maybe these fans wish to back struggling in championship year after year

We have a large modern stadium, a large and passionate fan base, a rich owner, a nice chairman and a Manager that has had tens of millions to spend.

Yesterday we had a 6 pointer relegation battle. Now I am all for cheering the win yesterday but anyone that thinks this is acceptable is wrong. We are so used to shit that we don't expect anything else.

The squad is a mess, the transfer policy is a shambles, it's just not good enough and I for one am not a happy Sunderland fan.
