Our club is banning loyal supporters for...

If a steward had a pop at my ma , calling her a dog , I wouldn't be banned for foul and abusive language but for punching his face inside out.
I despair for football. Oh to be back at roker

Watching this lot would make the pope swear! It's the board that should be banned for insighting it by not putting a decent team out.

All I would say is over the last 5 years or so the number of people I've seen thrown out the ground seems to have increased. I don't have the stats, so may be talking complete shite, but it seemed against Liverpool someone was getting hoyed out every 5 minutes. I don't know what happens in each case, and I'm sure many are thrown out legitimately, but it doesn't give a very good impression when at away grounds I rarely see a home fan thrown out of a similar 'singing end'. I don't think our fans are any worse behaved, either.

So it's fine for the fan to abuse the steward but it's completely out of order for the steward to retaliate?

I never said it was fine. The steward should remove the abusive supporter. Although, as far as I know, the supporter was confronted by steward and when supporter refused to follow Steward's orders the steward made the remark and then ran to his bosses to get a squad together to ship him out.

Under no circumstances should any employee at Sunderland be abusing supporters![DOUBLEPOST=1380851855][/DOUBLEPOST]
What is interesting is that Doberman wished the club would get rid of me, a season ticket holder since Roker.

because you called me a ginger spenk & a dickhead within 2 sentences for daring to spark up conversation![DOUBLEPOST=1380852035][/DOUBLEPOST]

Bristow's defence was "the steward's only human" as if retaliating and abusing "customer" is acceptable.

If I worked in a shop and made a derogatory remark about a customer, I'd be sacked! Regardless of whether said customer had told me to fuck off previously.

Fuck off man. The women can be just as bad.
But it doesn't mean everybody wants to hear it[DOUBLEPOST=1380857481][/DOUBLEPOST]
You can see the stewards on a mission in the south stand every game, season card holders should avoid that area like the plague imo. Seems to me the idea was to get all the livelier fans into the same area to make it easier to get rid or re-educate those who would ruin the craved for cinema type audience.
No. People eating popcorn loudly front of me or rustling crisp packets. And as for the standing up at the best bits........

Whatever the circumstances of each individual grievance with the club, some will have deserved punishment whilst some like myself will have been wrongly singled out, I think we can all agree that the over zealous nature of the stewarding inside the stadium is nothing but a disgrace.
It's obvious that a lot of them, and particularly those higher up the food chain, don't like football fans and particularly SAFC fans.
From where I sit next to the SWC lower access tunnel you can see them singling people out barely ten minutes into a game. And then when someone is removed for a "chat" they think it's acceptable to surround them in groups of 5-6 at a time to basically bully and intimidate, provoking a reaction and smirking to themselves while they throw people out.
It's a sorry state of affairs but I'm afraid nothing will change until every fan who has been affected or feels strongly enough about it makes their feelings known in some way.
What that would be and how we'd go about it I don't know, but after my experiences with these hitler wannabes I guarantee I'll be at the front of the queue to join in.
Personally, if it could be arranged, I'd give them what they want. They want us to sit down and be quiet etc, so at the end if a specific game we all gather in a certain area, sit down and say nothing. Easily done and hard to ignore. But without a good amount joining in it would be pointless.
This is OUR CLUB, and we deserve to be treat appropriately.

Again said without knowing any facts.

I've been attending matches for 30 year and I've never had bother with over zealous stewards . Maybe I'm just lucky.

Neither had I in around 25 years of support until last season and I've traveled 1000s of miles watching us.
But when a senior steward insults and threatens your wife its kind of annoying!!!
Then to cap it off you get a hand delivered letter banning you for standing up on Boxing Day against City, but I wasn't ejected from the ground at the time. And in actual fact I was banned for not sitting on the seat properly, as I was sat with the seat folded up!! Pathetic really as in row 15 I block no ones view and a load of others do the same thing.

So now you accept that the club was right to kick the fan out and the fan was actually doing something wrong?

You've changed the whole basis of your argument to keep up your dig at the club.

Doberman is a clown who is shit scared of confrontation in real life and would not say a word to a steward at the match

Your shop analogy is ridiculous tbh.[DOUBLEPOST=1380867272][/DOUBLEPOST]
Snap - I'm jammy too then
And me.

They should start banning the players for foul and abusive language

Would do us a favour not having to watch them

It's difficult to see why anyone continues to support this lot.
Why ? Because a gonk has a tammy fit without knowing facts? Lets nit forget, he'll be off to Ibrox if his dad tells him to
