O'Shea has a pop at the board

If we bought better players there wouldn't be the need for an overhaul every summer. Our squad is piss poor.

Frightening to think of the money we've wasted

That's the main reason O'Shea should keep his mouth shut and be thankful for a job. He's out of line and needs to question his own behavior.

and there you go, the usual jibes. Even more cliché, if you ask me.

He is whingeing about managers being sacked yet is on record saying he had a hand in one and Di Canio is on record calling him a snide towards another and his fellow players
He is hardly whinging he is saying what most Sunderland fans think. It's a non story swept into a frenzy by the usual hate mob. What did he do wrong with Di Canio? Would you rather he stayed silent and see us sink into oblivion? Di Canio is a nutter who was trying to protect his own dismal reputation. O'Shea has been a model pro all his career yet people on here tend to always focus on the negatives.

I'm not talking about Di Canio's mental state, I'm talking about a bloke blaming the people who pay his wages for sacking managers yet admitting to being responsible for one and slagging another off.
Whatever your thoughts on O'Shea, it's poor form imo

He's bang on about player continuity imo. The churn of players we have coming in and going out is ridiculous and must cost us a shit load in agents fees. The churn of managers and their payouts would be a hefty wedge an all I would have thought. Be happy to think that everyone at the club from board down realises this and is determined to put the matter right as if we carry on like we have done, relegation gets closer and closer to becoming a certainty.

This transfer window is essential to get some better players in obviously but also to get a better balance to the squad. We've got six centre midfielders and only one wide player in AJ (not counting Buckley as I thinks he's a bit crap and needs to leave). Hope to see at least 2 wide players coming in to give us some options in them positions as it's shite at the minute.

How did I guess before opening this thread that we'd see more of the the exiles ill informed 'wrotten core' rants?

Clueless tit.

The performances and results do my talking for me, thanks.

And it's rotten, not wrotten. One 'the' at the beginning of Exile and an apostrophe before the 's'. Wouldn't normally point it out but as you're being a bell end.

You judge them on performances yet slate the ones that have been consistently our best players.

Clueless.

Best players in a team that's relied on blind luck and dead cat bounce to stop up two years in a row. What a time to be a Sunderland supporter.

Do you think he would ever call out a player on the team publicly if that person wasn't carrying their weight on the pitch...never!
No but then I'm not reading into where he is slating any one individual. He is stating as a club we need to improve and he is correct. He, imo, is spot on and I have no problem with what he has said.

EDIT: I have read it, re read it , and I dont see him blaming any individual or trying to deflect any blame. What he has said is bang on.

"John O’Shea says Sunderland’s board must admit responsibility for the club’s failures" ( Not his quote but exactly what he was getting at )

One question for O'Shea...Why can't Sunderland ever build on a win or a run of form? Why is it always so predictable that they revert back to form? It's not the boards fault.. As Captain, he should own those moments and take some blame and then these kinds of articles would seem more genuine.

Yep. How the feck doess team go from the euphoria of a derby win to losing to Hull, twice. That isnt a board level issue.

I think that's exactly what hes getting at. There is no continuity. We have a squad that is forever changing and lacking in any quality. Consistency comes with quality. We don't have it and forever changing players doesn't help. He is spot on in what he says.

That's a player issue. Clearly. We aren't good enough.

So we're overachieving...?
