He did for Pickford, we accepted the first bid. He did for mannone too.
How do you know that? Our new owners communicate things the previous regime didn't it's likely the pickford deals as negotiated a lot longer before entering the public domain and Bain himself said the decision to move mannone was taken by Grayson to free up funds for players so presumably that had rumbling on in the background.

It's just refreshing to have owners who are upfront about what's happening for once.

could it not be McNair, Donald first said they'd turned €3million down and the club came back immediately with €7million I'm hoping I'm wrong

Good shout. Don't think that would be a bad price at 6.6m pounds like all things told, but I'd like to keep him and get rid of others if at all possible.

What a f***ing tactical masterstroke by Larry.

Given the position the club was in I hardly think having sold only Pickford they were in a position to turn down 2m, the fee they paid for Mannone, when he only had a year left on his contract and we were in no position to renwew on similar terms. Bain said a lot of things including all the loaned out players having their wages paid in full and I bet that like the decision to sell Mannone being Grayson's was bullshit too.

Selling Mannone for that money was also a good deal and he wasn't exactly in top form for much of last season. Buying a couple of absolutely shite keepers, one known to be absolute shite and coming off the back of a relegation and shit form wasn't exactly good moves.
