O'Nien's Cameo Tonight

I'm not convinced he's a very good footballer yet but I'd hate playing against him, full of energy, always snapping away and doesn't look like he'd ever slow down. Was exactly the right sub last night and has plenty of time to improve. Can't help but love his attitude so hope he does well here.

TBF he looks an aggravating annoyance for the opposition, but we're yet to see if he's a decent footballer. Looking at other sides in the league and how they operate maybe we lack a bit of that so happy he's here, but not sure where or how we should use him yet. It seems the sub role so far seems to be the place at the moment.

I thought he did well last night. He brings energy and enthusiasm which gives the team and the supporters a lift and must be exactly what the opposition don't want to see after 70 odd minutes. It seems to be coming right for him so good luck to the lad. Who scored the goal that was disallowed last night ? Was that O'Nien ?

Yep it was. Didn't see how far he was offside but others said it was obvious though and the celebration didn't get past the initial cheer so must have been. The Doncaster fans behind me were saying good finish though, so that's something

Laughable. I seem to remember a lot of early posts about the lad being well out of his depth, poor, bad signing etc. This is what happens when supporters/fans give their early (1 or 2 game) opinions about a player. FFS start judging football players after at least 20 games.
Ole Jardine thinks he'll be one of the worse players to ever play for us. Ffs

I take great comfort in knowing I clearly understand the game better than some because I struggle to find fault with Honeyman most weeks.

He's crucial to the high press, he never lets up, he's neat and tidy in dangerous areas, he links well with Maguire from the left and Gooch from the right, he contributes a goal every other week from midfield, he's clearly popular amongst the players & coaching staff, he'll never end up in the press for the wrong reasons and he wants to be here.

2 goals and zero assists in 15 games would suggest otherwise, mind.

TBH, he’s in with a shout given Honeyman is ahead of him. At least he would be if the majority of Sunderland fans were manager.

Let him keep finding his feet from the bench.

:D

Wrong time of the month pet?

Shut up.

He's shit.
He isn't shit though. He is a good squad player and has terrific stamina and a great attitude, unlike your arrogant self. How anyone can be so abusive about a professional footballer playing for our club is beyond me. Are you an SAFC supporter, or just a mag wind up merchant?

It’s hilarious. People on here whinge that our players don’t care about the place and aren’t enthusiastic and that all they want from our players is someone who is proud of playing for the shirt then when they get that player they say they’re not good enough after five minutes :oops:

It’s pathetic and does my f***ing head in.
